Yes. There was a concerted campaign around Vatican 2 aimed at persuading the church to exonerate the Jews and blame the Romans. While one can sympathize with the liberal intent behind that campaign, its failure was inevitable as it is incompatible with the plain sense of the Gospels.

Couldn't get to the demo, problems at home with ill father in law. I'm feeling guilty about it.
I hope the main slogans are something like "Stop the genocide". The old "Free Free Palestine" is too generic and pie in the sky aspiration at present. Minimal slogans are more pointed - our government are complicit in crimes against humanity and its a fact that needs to hammered home. Unite the many and divide the few.
