Found this with all that David Lammy said under questioning from the Foreign Affairs Committee
Bit about Gaza starts at one hour and 17 minutes in.
Sorry its Sky but best I could find.
His arguments in face of some good questions are in summary these
Hamas are Evil ( yes he said that) Any queries about Israel and its "complex"
When asked his position on annexation of West Bank and sanctions ( as leading Israeli politicians have said they want that) his reply is that this is hypothetical question and he could not pre judge this. Pointed out that the occupation of West Bank has been ruled illegal and he's got nothing to say about sanctions. Also pointed out to him that Russia is under sanctions over Ukraine.
He was asked specific question on sanctions and his answer ( long winded) was that it was complicated issue and is officials were working on it. But its not a simple matter. ( Ukraine anyone?)
He was asked about the ICC warrants and his position as Foreign Secretary
Yet again this is complicated legal matter and up to the courts.
On aid. He cannot possibly know what is happening as there are no journalists there.
He did , as one MP pointed out, say earlier that there was danger of famine
His argument kept on being to sort this out we need a ceasefire. Which he always supported. ?
Bizarre bit when he praised Trump ( when he was President ) for doing the Abraham accords. The so called Normalisation.
He thought this should be re started. Then ( hopefully he said) out of this would come agreement about two state solution. Once Saudi Arabia agreed normalisation deal
Hence this government not supporting recognising Palestine state now.
All his answers avoided the questions and what has happened recently.
Such as the IC ruling the occupation illegal. That has nothing to do with normalisation.
The whole thing was painful to watch.
The Labour MP who asked some good questions was Abtisam Mohamed. Of Arab background
From this I get his policy is working with Trump on Abraham accords, Hamas are evil, Israeli far right racist politicians should be talked with , no serious sanctions regime and Israel's actions ( occupation etc) will be treated differently to Russia.
