There have been lots of distant shelling sounds on the video feed in the last hour, and some tweets and journalists suggest Israel has indeed been shelling northern Gaza where the leaflet drop took place earlier.

There has certainly been a reduction in optimism about a ceasefire compared to some hours ago. A variety of reports about injured Israeli's as well, including settlers shot and some Molotov'ed in their car. I've got no confirmation of these yet.

As well, I think that there may be issues with the Israelis thinking that maybe they haven't got as much public opinion with them this time round. Also knowing that the various fighting groups in Gaza have managed to obtain Fajr5 rockets, it would be a reasonable extrapolation to assume that they have also managed to obtain more or better anti-tank weaponry which would mean higher casualties for them.

Their arrogance is astounding.

We need to flatten entire neighborhoods in Gaza. Flatten all of Gaza. The Americans didn’t stop with Hiroshima – the Japanese weren’t surrendering fast enough, so they hit Nagasaki, too.
