Every nation pressures other nations into doing their will. That's what diplomacy is. Both China and the US happen to have a very deep bag of bribery to dip into, so they're more effective at it. But I mean... you're not wrong, it's just that that is the way the world has worked for centuries. So... Big deal?
I'm just giving out friendly advice. editor is the bloke who runs the site. HTHThanks Ed!

Canada’s Hunka scandal is a demonstration of how when history is complicated, it can be a gift to propagandists who exploit the appeal of simplicity.www.politico.eu
I’ve nearly finished Safe Haven: the United Kingdom’s Investigations into Nazi Collaborators and the Failure of Justice by Jon Silverman. It’s both an astonishing and depressing read about the failure of the U.K. ( and by mention Australia, Canada and the States ) to prosecute, both after the war and then again in the 1990s , those troops involved in war crimes who fought within Nazi ranks who were allowed in to those countries with no adequate screening . When the Soviets demanded extradition they said no , when the Soviets sent intelligence from their interviews with survivors and locals the U.K. wouldn’t use it as evidence .It’s ok, being in the SS doesn’t necessarily make you a Nazi, you probably just liked the uniforms

Britain likes to think it ‘stood alone’ against the Nazis. So why did it convict so few for war crimes? | Jon Silverman
Out of 274 suspects investigated in England, Wales and Scotland, there was only a single conviction, says academic and author Jon Silvermanwww.theguardian.com
Some of the worst ones were returned to the USSR, but on the sly as British agents to stir the UPA insurgency in Western Ukraine.I’ve nearly finished Safe Haven: the United Kingdom’s Investigations into Nazi Collaborators and the Failure of Justice by Jon Silverman. Big up to Kim PhilbySome of the worst ones were returned to the USSR, but on the sly as British agents to stir the UPA insurgency in Western Ukraine.
I think most of them were dealt with pretty quickly though, as I seem to recall that they were betrayed by Kim Philby, or one of his mates.
Anyone fighting against the USSR between the years 1939 - 1945 was a NaziWhich bits of that article don't you agree with?
Well maybe 1941 to 1945? The period between September 1939 and June 1941 was, er, complicated.Anyone fighting against the USSR between the years 1939 - 1945 was a Nazi
Yes just like poodle Blair and his weapons of mass destruction. The UK would not be involved in the Ukraine conflict if the USA was not leading the way. It's been the same story of slavish obedience since the first Iraq war. Time for a change.
UK has taken tge poodle stance again .Just like Blair was a yes man fir George Bush.Yes. What, you think the UK is leading the USA?
Naom chomsky mentioned all this few year's agoNothing hidden about it. Maidan coup, abrogation of Minsk accords, war in Donbass all directed by the USA from 2014.
If it's not on BBC it's a conspiracy .Not fair! Totally untrue! And scandalous misrepresentation to boot.

Maybe the people do not want economic collapse.Interesting article on waning support. Electoral politics begin to bite into Ukraine support
Decent quotes from involved people.
Oh, jesus, make it stop...UK has taken tge poodle stance again .Just like Blair was a yes man fir George Bush.
Rishi is a yes man for the one's pulling the strings for Biden .
Like the Poles, Finns, Latvians, Estonians, Lithuanians whose countries were invaded by the USSR? A tad too simplistic. Not to mention conscription in various armies, including Germany's. Even the Ukrainian nationalists spent some of their time fighting the Wehrmacht.Anyone fighting against the USSR between the years 1939 - 1945 was a Nazi

Yes makes alot of sense. Naom Chomsky made a interview few year's ago basically warning NATO was putting Ukraine at risk from major war.But what do you think?
I've not read this particular pamphlet yet, not wanting to shell out on what I suspect is a load of old bunkum. I say this because of all the other stuff of his I've read on Ukraine. First of all he starts off with the obligatory paragraph denouncing the unjustifiable invasion by Russia, then says how it was provoked anyway, then proceeds to attack Western governments for everything they have done elsewhere in the world.‘If people really knew the truth, the war would stop tomorrow’

It's a case of wanting to have the cake and eat it. I am always impressed at the naivety of these anti-war fundamentalists who seem to cherish the notion that if Ukraine just stops fighting, everything will suddenly be peachy, and Russia will stop where it is. Fat chance of that, in my view.I've not read this particular pamphlet yet, not wanting to shell out on what I suspect is a load of old bunkum.
