If I had to be at a work meeting to make up the numbers, I'd turn the volume down and lock the screen. There'd have been no need to actually listen as anything of any import would have been emailed round or sent round on teams.

Speaking for myself yes i doubt whether she fell in the river.I have lived near to a similar river for much of my life and afaik the last person to fall in and drown was driving a horse and cart.

Loads of women I know do exactly that though when out walking in the country, maybe she used the river bank or bushes alongside it as some cover? Anyway, it's just one theory as to how she might have fallen in the river.

Oh FFS. Stone-cold sober women do not go and crouch in reeds at the edge of a riverbank to piss on a public towpath in broad daylight in an area where there are seemingly loads of passers-by. That just does not happen.

Point to me seems to be there's any number of mundane scenarios where a person might leave their phone on a bench and then sadly end up falling in the nearby river, which does seem the most likely thing to have happened.

Should leave this really as it's total speculation but as I say, I do know women who do so surprised you're so adamant on this, and it was twenty five minutes between last sighting and her phone and dog being found so it's not loads of passers-by. Time enough for an unobserved piss at least. And it might further explain the falling in, going too far down the bank to be out of sight.

I know women who would piss in the countryside, yes. Most would if they needed to.

We're talking about pissing in reeds next to a riverbank. That's... just... I mean, it's about as likely as an alien abduction.

Fair enough, not really studied pics of the scene. Was imagining a bush or two as well. Only got onto it working backwards from the likelihood that she's fallen in and it's one possibility that took her near the bank and maybe put her off balance with a clothing mishap.
