I demand a police forensic test of the soil all along that bank! No, point taken, it's just a possibility.Perhaps we can leave the pee stuff for now. It's not exactly the critical point.

If I had to be at a work meeting to make up the numbers, I'd turn the volume down and lock the screen. There'd have been no need to actually listen as anything of any import would have been emailed round or sent round on teams. Are people that are disputing/questioning the proposed suggestion of her leaving phone and falling in river suggesting something else as a possibility?
Not now the cops have allowed contamination of the sceneI demand a police forensic test of the soil all along that bank! No, point taken, it's just a possibility.
Still discussed in your neck of the woods I seeSpeaking for myself yes i doubt whether she fell in the river.I have lived near to a similar river for much of my life and afaik the last person to fall in and drown was driving a horse and cart.
Are people that are disputing/questioning the proposed suggestion of her leaving phone and falling in river suggesting something else as a possibility?
Loads of women I know do exactly that though when out walking in the country, maybe she used the river bank or bushes alongside it as some cover? Anyway, it's just one theory as to how she might have fallen in the river.
You place too much confidence in the ability of the policeThe phone on the bench shows she expected to return to it. The only other explanation is if she or an abductor left it as a red herring. Which has been discounted by the police which means she's probably in the river.
I also think those other two scenarios aren't very likely. You place too much confidence in the ability of the police
Whatever happened to nb, it's a fair assumption it'll be something someone here has poo-pooedI also think those other two scenarios aren't very likely.

No doubt the recent travails of the Met will be giving an impetus to internet sleuths that might previously have been lacking.i.e if the police say she is in the river best check .You place too much confidence in the ability of the police

Should leave this really as it's total speculation but as I say, I do know women who do so surprised you're so adamant on this, and it was twenty five minutes between last sighting and her phone and dog being found so it's not loads of passers-by. Time enough for an unobserved piss at least. And it might further explain the falling in, going too far down the bank to be out of sight.Oh FFS. Stone-cold sober women do not go and crouch in reeds at the edge of a riverbank to piss on a public towpath in broad daylight in an area where there are seemingly loads of passers-by. That just does not happen.
I'm still curious on what basis scifisam claims knowledge of the fullness of nb's bladderShould leave this really as it's total speculation but as I say, I do know women who do so surprised you're so adamant on this, and it was twenty five minutes between last sighting and her phone and dog being found so it's not loads of passers-by. The alternative. AN alternative. Her absence on the bank doesn't mean abduction or accident, murder being a third possibility.Always remembering that the alternative is someone abducting a healthy woman in a 15 minute time frame and taking her past a glamping site or over several fields without being seen. To one road which apparently has a fair number of houses with ring doorbells etc. It's possible, I don't particularly trust the police to get everything right, but on the facts available to us accident seems more likely.

Almost certainlyYes, true. Although that would still be a river-based scenario.
Someone could have pushed her in.The alternative. AN alternative. Her absence on the bank doesn't mean abduction or accident, murder being a third possibility.
YesSomeone could have pushed her in.
Christ, wish I'd not started this Logic seems fine. Familiar with the area, she knows there's likely plenty of time for a piss, but maybe Bob from Number 42 will be along with his springer spaniel so best get out of sight just in case.even here the logic seems strained at least to me-on the one hand we are saying its a deserted footpath no problem going out of sight of your phone on the other hand the chances of a random passerby sends her right down the bank to hide and ultimately into the river?

Fair enough, not really studied pics of the scene. Was imagining a bush or two as well. Only got onto it working backwards from the likelihood that she's fallen in and it's one possibility that took her near the bank and maybe put her off balance with a clothing mishap.I know women who would piss in the countryside, yes. Most would if they needed to.
We're talking about pissing in reeds next to a riverbank. That's... just... I mean, it's about as likely as an alien abduction.
