Scanners attached to boats. They can scan and see the entire river bed.

Probably didn't stop for a wazz there. But you can see how easy it would be to slip and crack the back of your head just wandering over for an idle look.

It looks to me that if someone slipped down that bank and into the water there'd be signs of it on the ground.

Any sort of struggle you'd think would leave signs too, or heavy tread of someone carrying someone else, so it is really odd.

Sure, but there's also be signs if she'd been taken anywhere presumably. Limited range of possibilities. It would depend on conditions on the day and how clear any markings were... It's not as if every step leaves the standard police procedural obvious footprint.

Any markings will have been messed up by now because they didnt cordon off the area in a timely manner. Which is pretty surprising seeing as the police consistently have said they think she fell in the river.

Why would you leave your phone on a bench to have a piss? :D
So it doesn't fall out of your pocket. The pockets on women's jeans are often teeny or non-existent. And coat pockets aren't always reliable if you're squatting down, so it could be a faff if you only intened to nip off for a minute or two, and like someone else said, it's a quiet area, not a busy city.

I just cant see her doing this.
She had an ankle length padded gilet on. If she needed to pee that would have been removed. Its bloody hard squatting to pee as a woman. And you wouldnt want to mess up clothes. So she probably would have taken off the big gilet.

yebbutt if the risk of your phone falling out of your pocket while you are oerched precariously above river was forseen you might think the risk of falling in would be

Sorry but this notion that she fell in whilst having a slash is absolutely preposterous.

I was just answering your question, didn't see there'd been so many posts since. Let's face it, there could be a whole range of possibilities as to what happened.

People do all sorts of stuff that there's no logical or clear point to though, it's just what we all do all the time. It's only when something like this happens that it seems to make no sense, most of the time it just never gets noticed.
This absolutely.

There's probably stuff that hasn't been made public, and stuff that's impossible for even the experts to know at this stage. I just hope that she's found one way or another. The not knowing must be agony for the people who love her.
