Ukraine and the Russian invasion, 2022-24

Good to see that you are finally acknowledging the courage and determination of the Ukrainian Army. Took you long enough...
You pro war lot seem reduced to a bit of sarcasm on the thread and that’s it.

As for your point (if you can call it that), I think the article shows Ukraine commanders throwing troops into riverside skirmishes they can never hope to win, just for a few headlines.

Take you if ignore for one sec and you are coming out with this shit. The only pro war person on here is you, piece of fucking shit.

Why we allow someone who is in favour or war, murder, torture and rape to contine posting is beyond me.

You make me fucking sick.

Truly weird that people opposed to an illegal war are seen as 'pro war' in your eyes when it is indeed you that wants to see citizen slaughtering and torturing, land stealing, children kidnapping, school and hospital bombing war criminals succeed in their aims.

No sure on the truth of this, can't link to the vid as it was embedded in twitter, Alex Jones says on Clayton Morris's podcast, NATO mobilising for war on Russia.
I read that Clayton has had scandal with properties.
As for Alex Jones, he's a bit loud and hyper for my liking, that's not to diss him, him and Tucker Carlson (also someone I get a vague bad feeling about) talked about Alex predicting 9/11
As I say though, not stating facts, just putting this out there.
Those vile grifting cunts aren't interested in facts. They're only interested in taking money from gullible fuckwits.

But you don't think Jones should be 'dissed' for posting up disgusting lies about the Sandy Hook murders?

Did anyone catch Zelensky in their big question and answer session today? I read an excerpt that said they were looking to mobilise five hundred thousand people into their army.

Looking at the demographics of the people remaining in the country, this seems beyond ambitious.

Anyone see any of the rest of what he had to say?

Last time this question came up TopCat made the ludicrous claim that there weren't any fascists fighting on the Russian side then went silent for a bit after people posted up pages of examples of fascists fighting on the Russian side, IIRC
Quote my ludicrous claim please? I don’t recollect making such?

You are deluded. This only happened in your imagination.

Citizen slaughtering? What a peculiar stance. No concern over the deaths of people in ukraine not Ukrainian nationals?

My prediction based on reports and articles for the next year is Ukraine will get money for weapons but late and not in the degree that is currently expected. It will be conditional on digging in and fortifying existing front line - no more 'offensive'.

The US military will have a more direct role in directing the Ukrainian military - perhaps a condition of sorts of getting more money for weapons, and even the type of weapons that will be bought (for example mines).

Over time other weaponry promised will come into use - F16s for example, but for use in a defensive capacity (the defensive use was quietly said at the time in spite of the nutter #HappyF16Day types on Twitter).

If the above happens I think Russia will welcome the change and be happy to dig in and re-fortify likewise.
The public rhetoric from Zelensky and Putin may not match the above, but that will be the reality.

There's a report here

Ukraine military seeks extra 500,000 soldiers - President Zelensky

It looks like it's military chiefs who have come up with the figure, and he wants more details before agreeing.

At face value it seems like a slightly odd thing to announce to the world's media, and I suspect it's part of Ukraine's on-going campaign to get additional western support.

I wouldn't be altogether surprised if at some point we see Ukraine saying they can no longer fight the war with their own armed forces and explicitly asking for their allies to start providing "boots on the ground".

Requests for foreign troops will be interesting. Which countries would even consider sending their own soldiers?
