Ukraine and the Russian invasion, 2022-24

The UA were doing that at an earlier point with some helicopters low in off the sea, had to put a stop to it after the RU discovered their little wheeze. I think they lost at least one helicopter.

Azovstal is miles behind the lines now and surrounded by thousands of RU troops, anything coming in by air would be hugely vulnerable. The Russians have made some massive boo boos but they're not without the ability to shoot down lots of stuff, especially slow moving transport.
Maybe they could deliver the bare eseentials by drone?

I am not a fan of his, but its hard to argue with quite a lot of that (if those are his views) - even the PKK/SDF one, which the US and Turkey are probably never going to agree on but which could be managed with the right level of leadership diplomatic activity.

Instead though there is a noticeable absence of that level of diplomatic activity, as there is with more than a few countries. I know he is old but Biden really does need to start on the humble pie now.
Not to mention the small faces. Songs like all or nothing and lazy Sunday afternoon will melt erdogan's objections, and he'll at least shuffle his feet to itchycoo park and sha la la la lee

Yeah, blame the int, talk about some makey-uppey trap that NATO/the Joos/whatever set-up, pop smoke, declare (unspecified) objectives achieved, and bog off.

Is this translated direct from the Russian? :D

That fella was pulling no punches though, will be interesting to see how that plays out on the TV over the next few days with the other talking heads/shouting madmen.

This is from before victory day, same guy!

"[W]e don't have modern weapons & equipment in over reserves."

He must have Putin's approval to be doing this twice in 10 days. So the official story is now that Ukraine can field an army of 1 million who will die for their country, equipped by American lend-lease and Nato, and that Russia has almost no support from any other countries. Desperate stuff. No mention of Nazis or ethnic cleansing or Ukraine not being a country or the new Russian republics or any military successes at all. It must be a huge shock for the viewers. How can Putin retain any credibility with them?

260 evacuated from the Azovstal steel plant, bit it's not known how many are left.

Ukraine’s deputy defence minister Hanna Maliar said late on Monday that 53 heavily wounded soldiers were evacuated to a hospital in the Russian-controlled town of Novoazovsk. More than 200 others were transported through a corridor to Olenivka, Maliar said.

The General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces said that the soldiers defending the steel plant had “performed their combat task” and now the main goal was to save the lives of personnel. By holding the steelworks, they stopped Russian forces from rapidly capturing the southern city of Zaporizhzhia, its statement on Facebook said.

It was unclear how many soldiers remained in the steel plant, but Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, said: “We hope to save the lives of our boys”.
