Ukraine and the Russian invasion, 2022-24

Nah, it's Zelenzky who's desperate, Putin's getting a couple of thousand emancipated souls who don't speak the language their new commanders do cos he's the steamroller against the fash, do keep up ed.
Emancipated from the chain of capitalism?

There are areas of Russia with Korean-Russians populations so it’s presumptuous to assume they won’t be able to communicate

Phone: emaciated.

Russia borders Korea, so some will speak it, the average Russian officer won't, but you don't need to, just point the poor fuckers towards the lines and wait till the next lot arrive to be killed. Oh what a lovely war.

eneral Charles Flynn, the US Army’s Asia Pacific commander, told an event in Washington that North Korean personnel being involved in the conflict would allow Pyongyang to get real-time feedback on its weapons for the first time.

“That kind of feedback from a real battlefield to North Korea to be able to make adjustments to their weapons, their ammunition, their capabilities, and even their people – to me, is very concerning,” he said, speaking at the Center for a New American Security on Tuesday.

  • Donald Trump has blamed Volodymyr Zelenskyy for helping start Ukraine’s war with Russia, a comment that further suggests the Republican former president is likely to decrease US support for Kyiv if he wins the 5 November election. Trump’s comments on the PBD podcast on Thursday went a step further than his previous criticism of Zelenskyy and said the Ukrainian leader was to blame not just for failing to end the war but for helping start it, even though the conflict broke out when Russia invaded Ukrainian sovereign territory.

If Donald Trump won the election, North Korea invaded and occupied South Korea, and Russia overran Ukrainian defences, seized Kyiv, and executed Zelensky, would you have the longest wank in human history?

The NKPA are more likely to be engineers and tunnellers rather than cannon fodder.
Why not both? The Russians are sending sailors to the front and haven't shown any regard for their more able troops in terms of who shows up on the front line. NK has a mandatory 10 years of military service, and it will be a relief to them not having to feed the ones they send over.

Amnesty International on North Korea: "Freedom of expression, already severely restricted, was further curtailed by a new law that carried severe punishments for using or disseminating “South Korean-style” language. Forced labour, including by children, continued to be reported. Government policies contributed to ongoing food insecurity and healthcare provision was inadequate. Arbitrary detention of government critics in appalling conditions persisted .... Harsh penalties were imposed on individuals accused of engaging in “reactionary ideology and culture”. Those caught viewing, reading or listening to content deemed to be “reactionary”, including films, books and songs, faced several years in prison, while those involved in distribution risked life imprisonment or the death penalty ... Parents are also liable to punishment under the law by being publicly shamed if their children are found accessing South Korean content or imitating “South Korean-style” speech. The law requires relevant authorities to make use of public arrests, trials and public executions to “break the spirit” of those “polluted” by South Korean language and culture."

TopCat: "I look forward to the day they reunify the country via force of arms."

The common theme appears to be an absolute indifference to human rights abuses as long as the regime carrying them out is opposed to the US

Look like new cannon fodder to me:

There's another video here in this article in The Telegraph.

Several Ukrainian media outlets alleged that some North Koreans had been killed outside Donetsk earlier this month
