Meanwhile the aussies have drafter in cover for Warner, would be handy if he doesn't make it.
Fortunately for them they have strong backup in the 'stupid gobshite' position.
Fook sake, didn't realise it was on BT sport. Anyone know of any streams for this ?
I note its on free to air Channel 9 in Australia. So if you get a VPN with an Aussie location, you should be able to stream online. Hoping so anyway. I tested it out with my VPN last night and it works.
You'd have to listen to Aussie commentary though.
Don't know about streaming but anyone who's with EE can get 3 months free access to the BT Sports app by texting SPORT to 150.Fook sake, didn't realise it was on BT sport. Anyone know of any streams for this ?
The mobile phone network.
My prediction for the gabba test: Australia win the toss and bat first on a dead pitch. They lose a couple of wickets before they reach fifty but then settle in to grind out a score over 500. England get in around teatime on day two, the openers get as far as thirty odd before a flurry of wickets fall. One of Bairstow or Moeen threatens to do something miraculous and save the innings but then falls leaving the rest of the side to crumble to 380 all out around about close on day three. Australia clobber their way to three hundred and change on day four and declare with only a couple of rabbits left in the hutch half an hour before close of play. England make it to about halfway through the afternoon on day five looking like they might save the game but then whoever is the one decent bowler Australia have these days gets a load of wickets and it's a 200 run win for Australia before tea.
Stuart Broad is the only English bowler to emerge from the game with any credit. Malan and Stoneman do just about enough to guarantee themselves a spot in the second test. Ball fails miserably and is replaced by whoever the other bloke is.
Certainly has a ring to it but how the hell do you figure England get 380?
Wasn’t it raining in Queensland a lot the other day? Hopes of a draw? Nah. It was 100 degrees when I was there around this time a few years ago.
3-1 Aus. Maybe 4-1.
I don't get Jake Ball, tbh. Think he has three wickets at over 100 at the moment. He's like Broad but without the good days. I will be delighted if he proves me wrong. I fear that if Aus get in on flat wickets they will score a hat-full, and they might destroy Moeen into the bargain like they did Swann last time. Or Moeen might keep taking wickets as he does, even as they're smashing half-trackers to the boundary. My prediction for the gabba test: Australia win the toss and bat first on a dead pitch.
