Rugby Union 2017-18

Did something happen on the 20 minutes mark which tipped the momentum fully to the Springboks? England looked like they could go over at will before then, and then were incredibly blunt.

... Anyway, the Pumas are going to stuff this Welsh pack.

:hmm:

That was a remarkably comfy win for Wales. Their defensive mojo appears to have returned and they crafted x2 decent tries. The pack went very well and the lineout was as good as it has been for the past couple of seasons. I'm glad there's some depth developing.

Yeah, good result in fairness. Patchell was impressive as was the ever dependable Hadleigh Ap Parkes.

Quite surprised by how well that pack went. Was expecting a proper bumming in the tight as Thresher's Flail alluded to, but we more than held our own. A series win on Saturday with a very denuded squad and young players being blooded would be a very good return. Even better if we leapfrog the Saes in the world rankings.

Very happy that the pack held up OK, and yes we're very lucky we've got Hadleigh, massive weak spot for us.

And Scotland nab Danny Wilson, Wasps must really be in the shit! The Scottish pack is going to be much more formidable now with him coaching over Humphreys, who is a bit shit.

I find the Argies odd. They've lost a bit in the pack since playing darn saarf but improved their back play and ended up with a pretty fluid game that lacks something. I'm probably talking shit. Feel free to tell me that I am.

Fuck me this boks game is the most physical game I think Ive ever seen . Englands preparation for the RWC going well then *snigger*

Anyway, expecting the lads in red to have a much tougher match this time. A win would be a surprise given Hadleigh's not able to play. But you never know. Hope Ellis and Cub go well together. The front five need a repeat of last week.

The second try was a great team try too.

Some things Wales tried in the first half would have been punished if playing against the big southern 3, but I'm actually really impressed that their set-piece has become a weapon and they also seem able to craft tries. Combine that with an upturn in defensive duties and I'd say Wales are keeping in touch with Ireland atm. But Argies have been poor. Hard to say for sure what all this means, but Wales have mad good players at home too. This man is beginning to believe.

Just throwing this out there. If Argentina had a couple of New Zealand/Aussie/SouthAfricans/SouthSeaIslanders in their team would it improve them. Everyone else does. They must be the only tier 1 team who rely solely on home grown talent iykwim.
