German Police turn water cannon on schoolkids

This just in on ananova. Apparently German police used truncheons and water cannon on school age protestors. After the heavy handed treatment of kids in parliament square last Thursday, has a precedent been set?

http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_764125.html

Might I say that the treatment of the protest March on Saturday by the 24 hour war porn channels was quite disgraceful. About a minute of rubbishing coverage that might have been written by Alasdair Campbell himself, claiming that the anti war protestors were divided and finished now that hostilities had begun, followed inevitably by quarter of an hour of lingering soft focus shots of the B52s at Fairford. I used to regard claims of media bias with some skepticism- now I hold utterly the opposite view.

Let's see if we're finished or not...

Woof

That second comment is palpably untrue.

Bush is asking for $75,000 million for the war budget, although this is based on the short and one week war! White House Spokesman was shrugging off, and not answering questions as to the mathematics behind Dubya Economics!

During the last two days Alan Greenspan, has attended 3 meetings in the white house!!!!

Questions about these meetings were stone walled, which clearly shows huge holes in the budget, and seems Greenspan is needed to sort the mess out.

Pentagon spokeswoman has been stating; “you should not sit here and criticise the events on the ground” an obvious disconnect form the reporters, while going on the offensive, and flag waving to stop searching questions being forwarded!

She then went onto talk about the deaths and injuries are always associated with war!!!!!

British Royal Marines, and Paras are being assigned to Basra, which means in coming days the death toll will be very high and effectively Basra will come to be stuff of legends in Arab sacrifice!

Powell Cites Report That Iraq Plans Chemical Attack
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Secretary of State Colin Powell said on Monday the United States had heard reports that the Iraqi authorities planned to use chemical weapons against Iraqis in the south and blame it on the United States.

http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=2439269

The State Department official repeated a report, first circulated at the Pentagon early this month, that the Iraqis were trying to acquire uniforms similar to those worn by U.S. and British forces "in order to carry out massacres, which would then be blamed on coalition forces." He gave no details of the source or credibility of the alleged report.

thank god we no longer worry about sources or credibilty

AFX-Focus) 2003-03-24 21:28 GMT: IRAQ WAR Intense non-stop bombing heard south of Baghdad
BAGHDAD, March 24 (AFP) - A massive bombardment fell on territory south of Baghdad on Monday night, and an AFP correspondent in the Iraqi capital said the air strikes were hitting virtually non-stop.

Blair is to visit Washington this week!

This is in the face of no WMD finds, and mounting casualties in the face of the fierce Iraqi resistance!

Current difficulties faced in this unjust war, are making necessary the push in the direction of the use of chemical weapons by Saddam story, and citing few gasmasks found in Umm Qasr, as the evidence. This is a precursor to stepping up the terror campaign on the civilian populations, and inflicting heavy casualties on Iraqis! This is verified and reinforced by the remarks of Putin to Dubya warning him not to bring about a humanitarian crisis.

Latest is US now complaining about Saddam breaking the rules of War!

This sudden newfound interest in international law is really refreshing!

Just like the little bastards who getup to all manner of hooliganism, and when they are nabbed suddenly start prevaricating, and asking for their solicitors!

Never mind the use of Cluster Bombs, and all the technology never conceived, or dreamt of during drafting the Geneva conventions.

What if Iraqis went on to tie one hand behind their back, and wore a sack up to their waste, and started using cream puffs to fight with?

Would this be considered in accordance with the rules of war?

Evidently initial reports about business transactions are telling of a $4700 million contract for Umm Qasr port going to a US company. As well as selling the Iraqi Public Telephony Network Contract before the start of war for Windfall Monies for Dubya!

I just heard that news on the BBC World Service.

Does anybody know if this is at all legal in any way?

It sounds like booty to me.

The spoils have always belonged to the victor in a war and I think it is tacitly understood that Iraq's natural resources have played no small part in this enterprise.
