Donald Trump - MAGAtwat news and discussion

America is too comfortable and widespread to enact the Third Reich. Economic interest will molify all this by the mid terms. Brown people will get hurt is all we know.

Three of the seven Republicans who found Trump guilty in the second impeachment trial are still in the Senate so they might be able to thwart some of Trump's stupidest nominations, though he might be able to use loopholes to sneak past the confirmation process
He wants to use a loophole around recess nominations and their new senate leader has effectively greenlit that idea.
He’s giving a job to that weirdo Gorka apparently. There will be no barrel left to scrape soon, except for poor old MTG. I guess he has some standards.

I think there might need to be some lettuces out for lifespan comparisons with some of these appointments.
If they were to ever conduct a violent purge of the left, that human cesspit Gorka would be the ideal candidate to enthusiastically enforce it. That carcinoma of a man makes regular fascists look fluffy and caring by comparison.

Every minority plus the poorest segment of the majority will suffer greatly under Trump if he gets to enact any of the vile and/or batshit crazy shit that he's advocated for on the campaign trail.

You may be right. I might have gone too far there.

Could see his rhetoric making the atmosphere quite ugly and dangerous for many now I think on it.

If there is ever again a Democrat government of a United States of America (which is looking doubtful) they will have one fucker of a task weeding out all the corporate cronies & Russian assets these morons will have put into federal services. Sure, there's already too many probably, but nothing as to what this absolute shower of self serving cuntyness is going to bring in

Yeh it's getting even more wild... :D

Appointing a man who sounds like he's smoked 40 a day for decades, doesn't believe HIV is in any way related to AIDS and that vaccines cause autism as your head of Health.

Trump is just winding us up. Surely.

a - they were far too few to make a difference
b - they voted stein cos the democrats are shit. Genocide enabling shits at that.
Stein is in bed with Putin too. Don't make the mistake of thinking her Green Party has any noble aspirations. Check out the dinner party from hell with her and that other Russian asset Flynn at dinner with Uncle Vlad and goons in Russia. She has sold her soul.

Trump doesn't give two shits about any of the issues Kennedy is pushing, he's just rewarding him for his endorsement, and using his fucked-up slate of nominees as a loyalty test for members of Congress.

Wouldn't surprise me if he gave Kennedy a loyalty test behind closed doors by ordering him to get vaccinated and eat a bowl of Froot Loops with Cheez Whiz on top

Everyone is to blame apart from the Democrats

Meh, if you sit in a burning house because your local fire brigade is uninspiring, then you're a massive fuck wit.

I can understand why people uninspired by the Dems stayed at home in 2016 when Trump was an unknown quantity, but in 2020, or 2024?

I take the view that if you had the opportunity to vote against a raping, corrupt, inept, quasi-fascist, openly racist wannebe tyrant who's economic and legal programs was open for all to see, but couldn't be arsed because the other option wasn't perfect, then you richly deserve everything you get.

Fuck 'em...

While the Democrats do have their share of the blame. This is kind of where I am at.

The arguments for people not voting Dem might make sense if it was about voting Tory instead of Labour, or not voting against the Tories. But Trump is another level of awful.

Absolute rock solid prediction:

UK in 2029, opinion polls are that it's either Labour or Reform - urbans great political minds will be '.. but, but, Blair..'.

Honestly, dumber than a bag of fucking hair.

I agree that this was firmly into clothespeg-on-nose territory. That would have been me. Might even have literally done that, French-style.

That would only have been crisis postponed, though. With a victory, the Dems would have taken the lesson that Harris's huge shift to the right during the campaign had been the right thing to do.

Nah it won't be Labour or reform in 2029.

I do think Labour will loose the next election, before the last election I strongly suspect that would be the case, and everything they have done since winning just makes me more certain.

But it will still be the Tories challenging them, the only question is if Reform make enough headway that the Tories need a coalition with them, but I doubt it.

As for your the opinions of people on here if it was Labour or Reform, I think most would say vote Labour, but some would blame Labour if Reform won.

Also I think even Refom look somewhat sane next to the current Republicans.

It's been crises postpoment for a while now, and we are starting to loose them.

But one reason this election feel so important to me is I think a Dem win could have taking the wund out of the loons sails as they would turn on each other and maybe allowd the (relatively) sane elements of the Reps to take back control. Which is still shit, but waist high shit rather than neck high. Not certain of course but I think it was a possibility.

But the vast majority of the American population didn't vote for Trump either. That's not some suggestion there's an unseen 'progressive majority' or similar out there, it's recognition that masses of people will be affected by this shit. 'Fuck 'em' isn't a fair response to that situation.
