What's the best easiest way to buy Monero without jumping through hoops for wankers or having to buy bitcoin first?

I've been using local monero up until now but it seems every dickhead on there now expects all sorts of shit such as filming your bank transfer and sending it to their phones as well as sending them copies of your passport and shit. Talk about a gold mine for scammers and ID theives FFS
You can buy it on Binance

yes i already read that exact same page and i mean withdraw as in the normal non crypto nerd person sense of turning it back into actual money. why the fuck would i want to "withdraw" it into another crypto site

in my opinion it's the money of the future and in ten years time bitcoin will be bigger than paypal, It's a gamechanger.

You wrote that in 2010 so it is (more than) 10 years later :p

It's not bigger than paypal and still hasn't caught on as a payment method with the general public. It's just money launderers, tax evaders, scammers, drug sellers and buyers and price speculators (i.e. gamblers) that are using it!

And while continuing to be almost entirely useless, it is helping to destroy the planet.

Not sure if he still posts here. Or if he has an Internet connection on his yacht.

My favourite thing about crypto is that we looked at this energy devouring thing that we had made up in the middle of a species destroying climate change event and decided that we should do the same thing for art but in a way that made even less fucking sense.

We are an irredeemably stupid species and we fully deserve what is coming.

Are there reliable sources on how much energy cryptocurrencies actually use, relative to other digital or non-digital services?
For example, how much energy does porn use in comparison to online shopping? How much energy is used annually by the central reserves/banks on printed money and to store/ transport gold?
Genuinely interested

My little brother? No, he doesn't post here anymore.

I am really hoping he has a yacht, though, as I could do with a holiday
I never twigged that was your little brother. He was called foreigner before, wasn't he? I'm really shit when users change their names. Confuses me. (Easily done.)

If you search this thread, there are links to it. Here's one illustration of the shitness of bitcoin.

You can do more than half a million Visa transactions for the amount of energy used by one bitcoin transaction.

It's that fucking shit.

Musk wrote a tweet & he said rude things about Dogecoin (the internet meme currency FFS) on a comedy show.

Today China said that they were "cracking down" on it as they want to launch their own digital currency.
