Donald Trump - MAGAtwat news and discussion

Pardoned him, and has now chosen him for his ambassador to France - bit silly for Trump to be squealing about a Biden pardon when his final days in office last time around involved dozens of very dodgy pardons, and he's said he plans to pardon all the Capitol riot psychos the first chance he gets
A president pardoning their own son is still shit though.

Trump sees a chance to make more money.

“The Biden Crime Family wants to sweep their CORRUPTION under the rug!” says a message signed by “Team Trump” on the WinRed fundraising platform. “Joe Biden weaponized the DOJ against President Trump, and now he wants to give Hunter Biden the sweet heart deal of the century…MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE!”

“Right now we need a historic PATRIOT PUSH that says we’re not going to let them hide their CORRUPTION,” it adds, before encouraging patrons to sign a petition standing “with Trump against the Biden crime family’s corruption,” along with various options for donations.

Eg there are UN personnel held captive in northern yemen. A proper bombing campaign has long been on the cards.

Nothing specific to Gaza in the tweet.

Some good news. Mike Johnson is in trouble with these results 😄 . Dumpty will be having a meltdown hopefully.

Incidentally, TMT have just overtaken the MSM in viewing figures. They beat Faux News, CNN and MSNBC. It's what is needed after the MSM have done a terrible job holding the orange bastard to account.

What’s TMT?

Though why are there never articles anymore, just videos. It’s not a good medium for info.
It's akin to a news channel, so produces items regularly, plus podcasts and I think they have a print option or newsletter too. I like them as they broadcast up to the minute, quicker than you would get a written article in a newspaper. It is very much a good medium for up-to-date info.

In my experience/opinion, information needs to be printed to be remembered/taken in properly. This video shit is lamentable but sadly irresistable for some

Videos are pointless for me. I never click on them. I tend to read well-written news articles, but I have no interest in hearing some breathless fast-paced, chop-edited talking head, which is 99% of YouTube. And when the video is clickbait headlined with “OMG!”, that’s a total red flag.

Do people who watch these vids ever watch them again? How do they reference stuff?

It was interesting to hear a very senior UK economist speaking on Trump/Musk recently.

Whilst he was very circumspect about saying whether he liked/approved of them and what they are doing, he also expressed an opinion the only way Trump stood a chance of actually implementing his policies would involve raising the US fiscal deficit (currently @6%) to levels unseen since the end of WW2 (@27%) and that Musk's attempt to reduce government was partly to release money within the US system that could go towards funding Trump's schemes and make his administration seem more palatable to the major international lenders.

Hmmm..!

I don't get on with videos either, there usually seems to be a couple of minutes of saying who they are and why they're making the video and who their sponsors are and what they do and why they're worth supporting ...

but yep each to their own

Some of the more serious outlets used to do a transcript too, for things like interviews with someone in the news. That seems the best compromise if we must have video.
There is a transcript, in the app at least, but the format is crap.
