The idea that the supply of weapons depends on viral videos seems far fetched to me tbh but I think you are right he's the sort of person who would probably go down well there.

Well the default was because they couldn't pay because of sanctions rather than not having the money to.

Buy yeah my understanding is that all this 'the Russian economy is actually doing great isn't really accurate'. Short term there some factors boosting it, but long term it is likely to look a bit different.
