Ukraine and the Russian invasion, 2022-24

I think we can add Kent to the USA map .

Apparently in 1972 according to records released by the National Archives, Air Commodore Brian Stanbridge circulated a list to UK defence chiefs, which was approved by the Cabinet Office, which contained a list of the potential targets in the UK for any Russian nuclear strike.

This included the Kent towns of Chatham, Rochester , Gillingham and Maidstone. Dover, a key port and radar station, was also listed. Dover Castle, long a strategic, fortified, base for military use dating back through centuries of conflict, was earmarked for use as a seat of government in the event of a nuclear winter. Manston Airport - then known as RAF Manston - was also on the list given its military use. The airport had, through much of the 1950s, been occupied by the US Air Force.

I think a map with all the countries the US has interfered or tried to interfere in over the last 247 years would just be a map of the world.
If you are going for that definition then it is true of a huge number of countries. It is the job of diplomats and spys to do just that.

Did Kent painfully dump you when you were an impressionable wide-eyed teenager new to love or something?

Didn’t the US try and attack Whitehaven during the War of independence, but stopped off in the pub instead?

Yes ! there's some monuments / replica guns etc and an ex-pub named after him.
But the local council don't really exploit the local history / tourist potential.
Actually, JPJ was born not that far away from Whitehaven.

Therefore, we commit to collectively pursuing delivery of an unprecedented set of donations including main battle tanks

Collectively pursuing............... yea fuck actually doing it

found this interesting
" US now assesses that Wagner has about 50,000 personnel fighting in Ukraine, including 10,000 contractors and 40,000 convicts that the company has recruited from prisons."

So I guess we will get to see what damage 12 Challenger II main battle tanks can meet out, and perhaps see how effective their Chobham armour is against Russian firepower. Fight against Russian armour in Europe is after all what they were designed for.

Lets hope they don't sink in the mud, they being heavier.
