Coming to terms with late onset Anarchism
Oh, OK..I'd missed that; last I'd heard they were 'thinking' of standing aside...these things move quick.Labour have said they'll stand.

Paterson has recalled himself
Is he woke & unwoke at the same time ? Which would appeal to all sides and make him a shoe - in .
IDK, if they start dishing out £50 notes it might get em a few votesDon't see Labour winning this even if they go all out on the sleaze issue.
It's the Neil Hamilton/Martin Bell thing, isn't it?Only hope for defeating the tories would probably be an independent candidate backed by all the non-tory parties. Which would be amusing but won't happen.

Different age.
The vermin will have granny-farmed their core onto PV; whatever the weather they'll vote blue.Polling day is 16 December.
That'll be popular in winter in rural borderlands territory.
Its trying to invoke that. But that happened coz Hamilton stood, PAterson at least isn't (so thats a bit of an improvement.) Is a bit unfair on whoever tories put up (unless its Jeffery Archer) they haven't really had a chance to be sleasy (yet)It's the Neil Hamilton/Martin Bell thing, isn't it?

Graeme Currie, who contested the seat as recently as the 2019 general election, was informed on Saturday that he would not be in the running for next month's poll, triggered after the resignation of Conservative MP Owen Paterson.
It was announced on Sunday that 26-year-old Oswestry man Ben Wood would contest the seat for Labour.
Mr Currie, who has been a member of Labour for more than 40 years, feels he has been unfairly judged for social media posts in support of Palestine. He called the local executive committee "Stalinist" and said the party has "a corruption in its soul".

In a lengthy statement, he said: "Yesterday the Labour Party National Executive Committee (NEC) blocked my inclusion onto the North Shropshire local members hustings to shortlist for the upcoming by-election candidate. This hustings is taking place today [Sunday].
"Under the guise of 'due diligence' they raised spurious concerns regarding a tweet in 2018 of a Palestinian badge and a Facebook post in 2020 where I quoted Jeremy Corbyn calling for calm following the Equalities Commission’s report on findings of Institutional anti-Semitism in the Labour Party.
His LinkedIn is great, though...After the Labour candidate for the last three General Elections in North Shropshire was rudely shunted aside (for being far too keen on Palestinians), check out his super soaraway replacement, Ben Wood, whose sole qualification for the role appears to be that he interned for Neil Coyle (yes, that Neil Coyle!) and does not appear to have ever had a job, but has been parachuted-in straight from doing a post-grad at Kings. He's 26, but ambulance stations and wheelchair ramps appear to loom large in his personal vision, so I'm not expecting to hear much about climate change, generation rent or the Covid-catastrophe. Also, he appears to have no twitter feed before July 2019 even though he joined in 2010. Strange!
Can he come second, or will he be eclipsed by the Liberal Democrats and consigned to the dreaded Blairite dustbin?
Lib Dem has put up a Chartered Accountant, Tories a Barrister with medical experience. If people are serious about wanting MP's that do nothing but MP he's probably the candidate you are looking for. Sounds dreadful to me,Why would anyone give a shit who labour stand there?
I’d imagine some in the CLP might? Why would anyone give a shit who labour stand there?
