This just allows Ukraine to do a bit of firing for effect before they are left high and dry, maybe recapture some symbolic town or two, it's way too late to change the course of things.

General opinion seems to be that the Houtis will get Russian antiship missles to fire at things. Though that doesn't strike fear quite as much as it used to, as least not to the American destroyer captains. Can't say I'd want to pilot a merchant ship through there.
