Like Spymaster saying everyone to his left is mad/out of touch every five minutes or folks who waffle on about groupthink whenever they get loads of people disagreeing with them. And on that occasion he was clearly altogether calmer. I don’t know if it was drugs, pressure of the occasion or a malfunctioning brain implant but he was not in a calm state on inauguration day and there are plenty of clips of him being weird before and after the “salute”.
As he walked onto stage he was wildly throwing his limbs around and looked giddy with excitement and out of control. People attributing malice aforethought to someone in that state are having a logic fail imho.

I think the suggestion that people are arguing 'both are as bad as each other' is basically a reflection of that centrist view of electoral politics isn't it. 'Here's your options, choose one' has been essential to Starmer's approach for sure. And from that point of view anyone suggesting you shouldn't automatically vote Labour/Democrat kind of is saying that. If you allow that's not actually accurate though the accusation doesn't really make sense.

I think the thing is 'less bad' isn't enough. You need to actually offer something that speaks to the interests of the people you're expecting to vote for you and the Democrats have massively failed to do that. You (general 'you' not you you) might think 'less bad' should be enough, particularly in the face of someone like Trump, and I can see that argument of course, but the fact is it's not is it. As has been well demonstrated by now.

Yep and it should have been evident long before Trump II became a thing. The success of the Tea Party should have set alarm bells off, frankly, and the failure of the Democrats to recognise that the party (as opposed to Party) was over is entirely self-inflicted. The line I keep coming back to is they didn't lose to just anyone, they lost to Trump. To blame the cynicism of non-voters for that is a quite astonishing level of delusion.

The amount of intense bigotry against the working classes which went on during and after that election from Democrat partisans was legit amazing (and ironically, never looked at the stats, which showcased that Trump supporters were, generally, financially better off than Democrat ones).

Can't you see why he would enjoy seig heiling at the inauguration in a semi-deniable way to rile up the normies / own the libs / just troll generally? I'm sure he is loving especially the ADL and Netenyahu's repsonse to this - "lol, look at how I got these Jews to defend me sieg heiling at the inauguration".
I just don't understand how anyone can watch what he did and dismiss this as anything other than a deliberate seig heil.
