Vote for Musk

Jesus fucking Christ. Cyberpunk was meant to be a cautionary, not aspirational.
There's an interesting bit in the article that goes on to say that the EU is regulating big tech basically more than anyone else, and the UK post-Brexit led some to fantasise of it being Singapore on Thames and a deregulated zone. The UK remains in a position of having to chose between the US and the EU, as it always will, in which way it goes next

Musk and Trump will fall out with each other long before the point that any of this will become relevant.
They are both all about making money and Musk has given a small fortune to the Trump campaign. Thick as thieves springs to mind.

I don’t think it’s money per se they drives either of them, it’s power. I think they both see themselves as naturally the god-kings of the planet. Of course, this also involves having unimaginable wealth, but I don’t think it’s the accumulation of wealth in and of itself that’s their focus. But there can only be one god-king and that’s bound to cause conflict at some point.

Musk is just hanging around with Trump to make sure he’s eating badly and not getting enough rest, so when he duly expires the real Silicon Valley techbellend appointment (Vance) can take control and do their bidding. Until then they have to humour the crazy old guy.

Nigel farrage happy to nosh off any white foreign billionaires willing to meddle with UK politics :hmm:

so much for keep power within the uk

The US Constitution says the president has to be a "natural-born citizen" but I don't think the Supreme Court has ever ruled on a clear definition of the term - Ted Cruz was born in Canada but he was allowed to run in 2016 because his mother was an American citizen when he was born.

I don't think there's any chance of Trump pushing through a constitutional amendment that would allow Musk to run, but one of his grandfathers was born in the US, wouldn't put it past the current Supreme Court to issue an extremely broad definition of "natural-born" that could cover Musk
But was he ripped untimely from his mother's womb?

Elizabeth Warren suggests a completely sensible proposition to the orange one about Musk, so needless to say it will get nowhere. The tech twerp responded in his usual way, that of a child. He really is a clown.

7 mins from The Damage Report on his idiocy and racism.

Just to clarify, I didn’t mean violence. So, if anyone read what I wrote and thought I meant violence, stop thinking that please. Thanks…

And on a more positive note, there are always things you can do to stop nazis, no matter how powerful they seem. We, as individuals, if we are not currently imprisoned, can interact with the world and make those nazis less powerful. Isn’t that something people have been trying to do since the end of ww2? Maybe people today are out of practice.

I think if Tesla starts to lose significant market share that might reduce his power a bit, campaigning might make ownership toxic. And if a load of US reactionaries start adopting electric vehicles to ‘own the libs’ then there are some benefits to that at least.

Though he’s probably beyond just Tesla being his power, there are bigger things behind this, other tech billionaire wankers, crypto pyramid investments, Saudi and Russian wealth. Probably does need a bullet or ten to sort out.

remembering an insane conversation thread with jazz from years ago saying that the olympics poster were full of secret signals, including nazi legs where one athlete had a swastika shaped jump. And there was an eye and pyramid in there somewhere as well (there wasn't but y'know)
