Elon Musk - news and discussion

Given who tended to buy his cars this could well be the apartheid nepo-manbaby’s Gerald Ratner moment.

Tesla sales declined last year for the first time, especially in Europe. Expect that trend to continue - if I had a Tesla I'd be looking at trading it in as soon as I could, just too embarrassing to be associated with that prick.

Even aside from his politics, apparently he fired a load of key engineers as part of a cost cutting measure so development of new models has basically stopped as a result.

Driving away skilled engineers is also how you get embarrassing shit like the cybertruck.

Tesla just announced that they will be raising the cost of their cars sold in Canada by $4000 to $9000. The price increase will start on February 1st, the same day that Trump plans on putting a 25% tariff on all Canadian imports.

Way to price yourselves out of the consumers price range.

Maybe Europe will not the only ones recording a sales decline.
