Possibly something to do with a 'prisoner' being someone convicted of crimes in a court of law, versus a 'hostsge' being kidnapped just for being min the wrong place at the wrong time.
Presumably you know full well that thousands of Palestinians are being held without being allowed legal representation or even being told what they've been charged with.

They're hostages and it's disingenuous to pretend otherwise.

So, the Palestinians aren't allowed to dhow joy at their family members being released but the Israeli families are? Hmm, seems a bit one sided doesn't it (again)?
