Its just in case some pesky human rights organisation tries to take them to court.

The overall legal situation is complex. As Israel is not signed up to ICC

I have not read all of this but from what I have read to make ICC work requires political will of the states signed up to it to make it work.

So far I think this country is what I would call a dragging its feet when it comes to Israel. Reluctant and will leave it up to protracted legal arguments.

It the centrist we of course believe in international human rights law but in relation to our allies like Israel won't exactly push to make the law work.


A lot of international law requires political will of the individual states.
