Goiodbye, 100 years of progress.
Hello, Stepford Wives:(

Fuck off with the "cheers", ok?

We don't keep ending stuff with "cheers"

Do you add it to coz you are talking to the limies, and they always say cheers?

btw, we have a poster who always ends their posts with "cheers ^insert name^.

S/he is lovely and I think s/he has it copyrighted. (In my mind)

Thank you Spring Peeper!

Cheers - Louis MacNeice

so the theme is set, us-vs-them, what he used four years ago.
"them" would include the entire democratic party, all of whom are revolutionary socialists, even joe "senator from the most corporate-friendly state in the nation" biden.
the GOP has inoculated itself: the looting and the blazes aren't tump's responsibility, they're all in "democrat" controlled cities.
meanwhile media outlets are giving the trumpers all the time they need to spread the message, and the DNC or whoever is already so far behind the ball.

Courage, man, courage! There's 3 months to go, there's no proof the GOP playbook will work again on those voters in the rustbelt swing states, there's a pandemic, nationwide protests and a hurricane working against the Orange Duce....time to be positive.

All politicians make promises, fewer keep them, but Trump can no longer pose as the 'change' or anti-establishment candidate. He's had four years and the country is starting to come apart at the seams over police brutality. Trump has led so poorly; so why is his support holding up so well? On the big issues like Covid-19 and climate change he is clueless, reckless. He is a brazen liar. America can't afford four more years of him. It would be voting to cut your nose off to spite your face. I can't even claim we do much better in the UK, having elected Boris Johnson, but Biden is up against a man who has already made a horrible mess. If enough people listen to what their conscience and reason tells them instead of 'infotainment' blowhards and jumped up 'pastors' it should be the last we see of Trump.

how could you know that ballots had been delivered by third parties?

btw, there are internet ads now over here of trump's scowling face encouraging people to get their mail-in ballots. playing both sides of the fence is textbook stuff.

I mean there was a time when political office was respected, rather than a rich man's hobby. Pursuit of happiness, equality under the law, all that. If some people need dole, the workers pay for that. A few of them may even not try their hardest not to claim dole for whatever reason, but the fact is they are there because the system demands it. Some of them even celebrate birthdays and christmas.

But get this: the rich, born into privilege take airs. In short they think they are the master race.

a) Trump cultists, MAGA and all that sort of thing
b) GOP ultraloyalists
c) wacko radical right, militia types, white supremacists etc.
Put that lot together, that's a lot of Americans

Plus of course the thousands of people (and hundreds of millions of dollars) devoted to pumping his message out on TV, radio and the internet all the time. Trump has had the biggest US TV news network and the second biggest collection of local TV networks in the US reciting his talking points and denigrating any opposition to him - especially from reality - for four years now.
