See, even by those figures the East is the fourth most populous region of England and far more populous than both Scotland and Wales. And yet we are forsaken…
I reckon things went downhill for the region when they stopped beaming us "And now, LIVE from Norwich...it's the quiz of the week..."
 
Last time I was in Wales (October), we went to a local shop that advertised baps and before I had processed the words in my head, I asked the young lady, “can you show me your baps”. Then I froze, horrified at what had happened but fortunately she didn’t seem to notice and just whopped her baps out for me to inspect, regardless.
 
One that joined almost 6 months before anyone arrived from AVF, if that's what you're thinking.
True enough, but they don't seem to need any defending; if the refUKer thread is anything to go by they appear to be able to rally round their own without any assistance.

Watford is indeed on the London Underground system, but it is not on "the tube."

Earlier this year I went on the Metropolitan Line (check the "Tube" map on TfL) to Watford which brought me Cassiobury Park and the rather lovely miniature railway. My first visit to this Northern town and I found it really rather nice.

The Metropolitan Line is an Underground line; it is not a tube line.
