That's quite wrong; the magnetic north pole is point on the earth's surface, (pole), where the earth's magnetic field points precisely down into the planet. For this reason it is sometimes referred to the North magnetic dip pole.

They'd have to lower the platforms on the lines which the larger trains run on, and there would probably be capacity, and certainly comfort, concerns.
