Ukraine and the Russian invasion, 2022-25

They do know "Friendly Fire" shooting down your most advanced Command and Control Electronic Warfare plane is worse... right? They do get how that would be worse?
Given its AWACS that wouldn't be friendly fire...would be the military equivient of suicide by cop

The taps are dry and rusty because we outsourced our industrial capabilities to China over the last 30 years.

We produce a number of small high tech weapons domestically but sheer weight of fire counts for a lot.
The fewer weapons that "we" produce the better.

31,000 people killed by the fascists in two years, disgusting.

ISW reckon between 66-88 thousand Russians dead as well.

ursula von der leyen said ukraine had lost 100,000 back in november 2022, which matched the estimates of the russians. russians now estimate ukrainian losses at 436,000.
the idea they have only lost 31,000 is nonsense.
31,000 killed will mean between 2 and 13 times that number wounded plus a number taken prisoner. So total 'casualties' could be up to 400,000 although more probably between 150,000 to 200,000.

That fits the narrative. Injuries should be 5-10x the number of deaths. Higher on the Ukrainian side as we've documented evidence Russia leaves injured behind if it's too much faff. It doesn't make 31,000 improbable at all. Most of this war has been artillery battles that very much lean more towards injuries than deaths. The only sure-fire deaths are something landing right on top of you, or being in a vehicle that gets lit up.

there have also been occasions on which the ukrainian forces have left wounded behind: probably happens more often than we know about
