Ukraine and the Russian invasion, 2022-24

Weirdly enough I googled The Secret Army to have a look at any reviews of the series and found out that the last episode 'What did you do in the War , Daddy?' was never shown. One of the reasons given was that "It questioned the whole point of the resistance and went so far as to suggest that fighting the Nazis had led the allies to miss the main threat - communism."

Herr Wagner has made a video claiming Bakhmut is now taken. Looks like they certainly have most if not quite all of it. UA are denying but I think it’s pretty much all in.

He also says they will withdraw all Wagner troops on the 25th to be replaced by RU MoD troops…wonder how that will go?

They can't do much with it. It's in no fit state to be a jumping-off point for, eg, Kramatorsk, nor are they in any fit state. And the flanks are collapsing, so a conquest could conceiveably turn into an encirclement. That's a long shot, but it's one direction in which things could go.

The Russians have apparently rushed what few reserves they have to shore up the flanks which is to be hoped the point and gives the Ukrainians room to go adventuring elsewhere

Absolutely. There’s nothing left. The Graun had some before and after sat photos and it is fucked. Sure everyone saw them already so won’t link.

Apparently surrounded by hills as well so Ben Tre followed by a potential Dien Bien Phu?
