Ukraine and the Russian invasion, 2022-24

I note that if I computer translate that news article, its got stuff like this in it:

The 'not a war with Ukraine' form of propaganda is expanded upon via this sort of predictable propaganda:

They are telling their readers that it will all be over, with Kyev liberated, by tomorrow (1st March). i don't know what to make of that at all.

this is some wierd bullshit to be coming for that news station

after the weekend are chechens still that scary regardless of religion,

was that war not against islam

Putin had an "emergency economic" meeting today with his cabinet officials and bank officials, and he was at one end of the table, them all at the other.
I swear he has the table made longer and longer. It would have looked comical if it wasn't so scary and bizarre.

I’d also expect more satellite/aerial imagery of destroyed Russian hardware on the TV/news sites if the war is going anything like the way it is being presented, the media loves stuff like that and it’s good propaganda so surprised not much has been shared, I’ve only seen that drone attack footage really. The sort of thing that would rally one side and demoralise another.

I think Bellingcat is working with this site to verify and geolocate videos and so on. Lots of vids of destroyed equipment and it's probably safe to assume it's only a fraction of the real losses.

Any idea what it is meant to signify?

lack of fresh news is slightly disheartening

going to hind in a bunker does not really mean the fella is interested in deesculation

i mean trump was a bunker bitch but he was not threatening world war 3

On Russian state TV yesterday, the primetime host (who is apparently known as 'Putin's mouthpiece') started his show by talking about how many nuclear weapons Russia has and saying to his audience 'Why do we need a world if Russia is not in it?".

What the hell is the objective in saying that to your own people?
Especially if you've been telling them for ages that there wasn't going to be a war at all.

Is there now a change of tactics , an escalation or have they been carrying these cluster bomb type rocket attacks out around Kharkiv and other cities during darkness away from Kyiv :(

Ive seen some horrifying videos of cluster bombs against ground troops in Syria and elsewhere if true I thought they were banned extremely frightening weapon to use in a built up civilian area
They do sound just like the fast multiple sustained explosions I mentioned in a previous post I had heard on some of the live cams and reproters streams 2nd or 3rd night and early morning
I do think we might not have been hearing the full story what he might be doing or using perhaps because all they can really do without escalating it to Nato etc or have done so far is mainly half hearted sanctions

Rockets kill civilians in Kharkiv as Moscow ‘adapts its tactics’

At least seven people have been killed and 44 injured after Russian forces launched multiple rocket strikes on the eastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv in what appeared to mark a change in tactics by Moscow towards bombing civilian areas.

‘Dozens killed and hundreds injured’ in rocket strikes on Ukrainian city of Kharkiv

Sorry if this has been addressed already (It's a very long and fast moving thread) but what are the implications of Ukraine being rushed into the EU? This is from the Nato website:

Sharing strategic interests and facing the same challenges, NATO and the European Union (EU) cooperate on issues of common interest and are working side by side in crisis management, capability development and political consultations, as well as providing support to their common partners in the east and south. The EU is a unique and essential partner for NATO. The two organisations share a majority of members, have common values and face similar threats and challenges.

I know this is not the same as making Ukraine a NATO member but it's kind of close to that and rather ominous.
