UK Gas and Electricity Crisis Looming

yes that struck me as I was typing, I should have added it. Perhaps the petrol saved from not travelling could be used to heat (set fire to :( ) the house.

If the money saving expert is out of ideas you know there's a massive problem

Guides to navigating the landscape of markets and 'consumer choice' operate in a small world that has little to offer in times of genuine crisis. Relatively superficial shit for an era of relative of stability, a product of those conditions and the games they enabled. Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves is a joke, especially when inflation returns to the scene after a long absence.

This is the double whammy here, even doing that is going to drive your bills up with electric going crazy
Working from home these past two years has saved me £250 a month on diesel but cost me £15 a month extra in electric. Since both are rising like mad the numbers are going to change but not the ratio I suspect.

Don't even that option since fucking diesel doesn't burn, I would have to siphon petrol out of Mrs Q's Micra which would get me an extra nagging on top of the whole "Burning Down The House" thing.

Picked up a half price hot tub last week, seems they are all on sale now as everyone is back in the office and they cost £19,298,912 a week to run.

So it's not all bad
