The Ashes 2015

OK, seems I'm one of the few with eyes on this.

England have got their line and length spot on. Several unplayable deliveries, making the batsmen play at it. Bit of seam movement, bit of movement in the air and off the pitch. Nothing unusual about the pitch at all, just bloody good bowling in helpful conditions.

Combine that with batsmen who just aren't very good at English conditions and who have gone way too hard at the ball and it's been slip catching practice. Only one of those chances has fallen short and there's been one pearler of a catch by Ben Stokes so we've taken everything catchable.

Pitch has bog all to do with it

I'm waiting for the stats to come through. Anyone know the shortest innings timewise? This has got to be a contender.

Where the likes of Kane Williamson are so good.
Aus don't have the likes of KW.

I have eyes on it too and I totally agree with all this. Combination of great bowling and poor batting. Nearly all wickets were slip catches, one a fantastic catch by Stokes.

Don't get me wrong, it's very hard to play some of those deliveries from Stuart Broad well. The one Voges got in particular forced him to play, he had no option. But SOFT HANDS mate. Don't push at it like that. 9 wickets fell to catches behind the wicket, 8 to the slips. One above Cook's head, one to his side, one saw Stokes flying through the air to take a screamer behind him to his right at fifth slip. The other five were routine, into the midriff or chest height. Shots were way, way, way too hard

The best leaves came from Lyon. Bat inside the line nice and early, don't give em a sniff. But tbf, those wicket taking balls were mostly unleaveable.
