The 2024 UK General Election - news, speculation and updates

Might be deliberately ambiguous, Labour probably want Reform to take votes from the Tories.

Be careful what you wish for though...
Exactly. It could be quite easy to build up Reform into something capable of taking many seats over the next couple of weeks, the media would definitely be up for playing along, think of the clicks. There’s a strong ‘fuck them all’ sentiment in society and they could well capitalise on it, and plenty of powerful interests happy to give them a bit of momentum. Look at all the media attention Farage got for announcing he was running, compared with other smaller parties.

Valance has been right-wing for a while, she married billionaire property developer Nick Candy in 2012 who's a Tory donor and the couple have been known to hang our with Farage and Trump:

One might think that being the daughter of an immigrant Serbian who then emigrated to the US and UK might put her off representing a party that's all about shutting borders, but I suppose that only applies to poor people.
Slept with her sister's fiancé too. Right wrong-un.

Probably get Richard Hillman to stand for them next

Leicester East has been blessed with not one but two ex-Labour MP expellees on the ballot, as well as the actual Labour candidate.

Keith Vaz trying to make a come back, plus Claudia Webbe the current independent MP since she had the whip removed this parliament.
Galloway must be feeling left out.
