I once frequented a cider bar in Exeter. I've remarked before but of particular interest to this: the hardened old-men cider drinkers were obvious from their red noses and the fact that they talked shit all the time.

A friend of mine once spilled some on my coffee table and took some of the varnish off. He died not long after so I left the bare wood as a mark of respect for 5 years before redoing it.
