Glastonbury 2009

I'm starting to be a bit girly wuss and wondering if going alone to a festie that has 120,000 people at it was such a wise move after all. I'm sure it'll be fine though.

Hi madz. Of course the fest will be huge and densely populated, it may seem somewhat daunting at first, on your first wander round.

BUT there are lots of quieter corners, especially up Green Fields way, and there are plenty of places to relax away from the main pathways and away from the more crowded stages.

Numbers of arsey drunks should be proportionally far lower than in the late evenings in a city of comparible size over a weekend. Must wrecked people are friendly-wrecked .... ;)

There'll be lots of friendly folks, Urbanz included, so some and meet us all for cider! :D

One effect of the weather looking so promising, is that in predominantly dry and sunny conditions, people tend to spread put more and chill out more, for the most part.

My first two Glastos were solo efforts for me ... OK 'back in the day' :D the fest was a lot smaller, but I found that there were more than enough friendly folks to chat with all the same and that hasn't changed ...

I'm confident that you'll have a great time

Someone from my work just sent me this and I'm not going this year.

Bastard!

Here is the Metcheck version for the whole week

And the Met Office latest prospects for the South West

If this holds, it should be the best since ... the last very sunny one ;)

Clouds are for wimps ..... :p

Out festy shopping. And I've done what I've always wanted to do. Have brand new socks for every day of the 10 day marathon.

My feet are going to love me.

Pah, i'll have access to the same one by the sounds of it, but i'll be using every spare moment i have to hold a protest outside.

I will use cunning and stealth. I *will* be showering. Unless I've left it too late before work, of course. ;)

Festy shopping over with now. Every where says 'festival' to me now. Window displays... Summer clothes? Festival clothes

I then caught the tube from opposite the BBC, where they had a big stage outside. The proclaimers just started as I left. Outdoor music? That's festival sound that is.

Festival festival festival.

Getting just a bit excited now. :)

A colleague asked me to tell her about Glastonbury yesterday. It ended with her telling me it was her idea of hell. :D I gave her the edited highlights too. ;)
