DiY, Desert Storm & other old school sounds systems will be fielding DJs at Bassline in Shangri-La, if anyone's into that kind of thing.
I spoke to one of the Bassline crew this afternoon, who is still living on the road all these years after the old scene collapsed...

Good plan. I'm panicking a bit. I'm usually half packed by now and really organised but I'm not.
Magic Sam's been away for most of the last 2 weeks, his dad's ill so that's delayed our decorating which was only finished sunday night. The house is in chaos, I can't find half our stuff and I've only got saturday and tuesday to sort it all out really. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Deffo get some long socks in case you need to wear wellies. Obviously get some wellies too, not getting them will guarantee you need them. I don't know what a floormat is either, is it like a yoga mat? Why don't you get a cheap single blow-up mattress from tesco-less than a tenner.

A floor mat IS like a yoga mat I think. I'm sharing a tent compartment with my friend, she said don't bother with blow up beds. She is shit aswell though.

My stuff is slowly being piled in the middle of the living room.
Noooo socks. Noooo T-Shirts. Big 1 litre metal flasky things for boozeness, one of which will be filled with Morgan's Spiced, having picked up Jefe's top tip from last year.
A spirit you can drink neat without wincing, and one that led to me passing out in a portaloo on the Tuesday night last year. So maybe that's not a recommendation.
Another will get loaded with Vodka.
Tripod being delivered to work tomorrow (a bit much I know, but I've promised myself I'll do night shots of Trash City et al, and might be blagging it up into the tower at Arcadia. Assuming I've not gone bonkers on the Morgans.
).Still to purchase: A very frightening amount of cigs.
I'm feeling quite organised this year. You won't get any sense of that though if you find me on site. Try enough portaloo doors, and I'll be there, dribbling.
Still 6 days to go but the forecast has taken a nasty turn this evening. All relative of course, nothing like a 97, 98 or 07, but after the early excitement this week it looks like the threat of rain is back on the horizon. Arse.

I'm half packed. haven't found where I've stashed the sleeping bags yet, but the flat is small, it won't take me too long. I never got round to testing my tent out, it's still in the box it got delivered in
I just hadn't thought very hard, not until today when I said to my friend 'wanna come glasto shopping with me on Saturday?' and he said 'yeah what do you need to get?' and I started a list, and then as it went I kept thinking of more things, like a snowballing list, and as the list rolled on I got more panicky, and louder, and I think I started to look a bit unhinged because he said he had plans that he'd forgotten about.
