Glastonbury 2009

I'm starting to be a bit girly wuss and wondering if going alone to a festie that has 120,000 people at it was such a wise move after all. I'm sure it'll be fine though.

madz, I went on my own last year (admittedly having arranged to meet up with LMHF) and it was absolutely great. Besides, aren't basically camping with or near us / penni? It'll be fine.. mwahhahahaha........ :p

I think I'm going to camp in spring in the disabled bit because of my knee. How far is that from where you lot are camping?

ah can't help there then :D

and i got a little smither of hope for a few seconds!

ya basta! :D

oh well its going to be the big surprise... theres a few i reeeeaallly wanna see. but i cant get too excited about em. feck... thats frustrating but still i know its all gooooooooooood

isn't it 6pm each eve at the cider bus?

[/guess]

I'll defo be there for a Wednesday beer at that time. Me and Walworth will be wearing our East 17 T-Shirts. ;)

Probably about 10 minutes walk to Cockmill where quite alot of folk will be... (i.e. ALL the girls, it seems). It's proper hard tracks all the way, so good underfoot, and hills aren't too steep. Adjust time for your knee obviously.

My final shift is Wed night so I can't really drink and I like to get a few hours sleep before a night shift. Will be there for an hour or so Wed night.

I don't finish till 11pm wed but I'll try and make thurs.

I've got 8pm-midnight on Thursday, so I might be avoiding beer temptation early evening.

Friday though... 5pm would be good shout for a few drinkies (before I go and see Friendly Fires on the Other, and then rush back to Pyramid for the Specials. And then get monumentally shitfaced on the basis of not having work on Saturday :) )

Thanks paolo

Maybe people could be kind and sometimes pick me up on the way past to stuff :hmm:

I mean, not literally pick me up, like, that wouldn't be good.

I will be at the bus on Wednesday too :D all being well that is.

Hope to arrive around midday and trust I may find a small space in Cockmills.

I will gladly pm my no to anyone who is daft enough to want it!:D

My razor and I had a misunderstanding last night and now I look like Posey-Facefuzz McTwathead :( I will undoubtedly look like this thoughout all of Glastonbury :(

Bollocks.

Pick me up on the way and we can go to the bus together :)

LOL - it's not far from us but we won't be there much if it goes like it did last year. I can look at the inside (or outside, depending on the weather! ;)) at home...

I think that we can probably be a bit kind sometimes.. :D

Another 'Rock and Roll' question from me :D

Is it relatively easy to get milk every day? I'm assuming the weather's going to be too hot for milk to last more than about a day and I've got some instant chai but I'd like to be able to make real cuppa of a morning.

At my table.

With my red teapot.

And proper mug.

a tractor and trailer tours the site selling milk in tiny plastic bottles to aid the recycling effort. There are milk stalls in the markets; Street Sub-Aqua sells it, as do many other places.

late, again :(

Oooh, I just clenched my puddy little fists up and said a proper 'HURRAH'

I think I'm going to peak too soon at this rate.

I will be at the bus on Wednesday too -- all being well that is.

See ya there penns!

We may pass by for a bit early Thursay evening (6 pm?) too, but we HAVE to be cautious as paolo says, we're on shift from 8 pm Thurs.

(And we'll have had a Red Flag/Real Ale Tent meetup with some efests alelovers at noon on Thursday too   )

Friday will undoubtedly see some ciderage though, as we're free after 4 pm ! :D

<instructs self very sternly not to get too shitfaced prior to the Specials  at self >

And Imelda May looks suddenly enticing, for some reason.

actually just gone off her after seeing her write up for a gig nearby:

"Imelda is also in high demand for private events and has just finished an astonishing run of these from St Moritz to Buckingham Palace, wowing crowds of luminaries such as Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Prince Charles and numerous Hollywood A-Listers."

Right, I need, as soon as is possible....

Details of what colour the wristbands are, whats on them, and what colour ink is used, and also details of anything else I'll need to know to sneak in.

Can anyone help? :)
