Glastonbury 2009

i had a day out in glastonbury yesterday and got really excited when i saw the yellow traffic signs on the bus there. then i climbed the tor and everyone was looking at the site through their binoculars and the sun was shining and i got REALLY FUCKING EXCITED.

then i remembered i'm not going. :( :D

aww :(

I've just looked at the lastest images from wickedfaerie, it looks like Williams is back to 2007 with half the field taken up by crew!

That combined with Climate Camp taking up Dragon it's going to be packed this year.

ok, fair enough, I spose somebody, somewhere on site has to be sensible.

however, since I think you said somewhere up there ^ that this is your first time, could I suggest that a sensible thing would be to consider just how far away the carparks are and how heavy your table is?

we may well take a table as well! They're bloody handy things. And you dont have to take absolutely everything with you as soon as you arrive on site. Making two journeys is possible - or even three!

It's not my first time

It will be a fold up/roll up camping table - not heavy at all. And I'm probably going to camp in the disabled area so a shuttle bus will take my stuff to the campsite :)

It's possible for old, sober people to have fun at festivals as well you know. It's not all about drugs, drink, getting munted and covered in mud ;)

Exactly :)

And first thing in the morning, when I'm sitting nicely at my table with a pot of tea and a nice brekkie while others are sitting on their arses on the wet grass will I feel just a tiny bit guilty?

Errrr......no :)

I'm 44. Not being sensible stopped being fun about 10 yrs ago.

Well I'm 42, and I'm very sure that my 'Table at Glastonbury' years are a very long way off.

What you need to do is make some fake decks to put on it. Insta-cool transformation. :)

I think the knitting and good book would give it away

We will be around for the early part of any Cider Bus meet on the Thursday, but we'll have to watch the cider intake at that time, pre shift ...

Oh yeah, we just have to hope our working tickets arrive this week, we leave for Glastonbury (town) earlyish this Saturday morning, on site from Monday morning.

And you've set Belboid off on it now too.
