Glastonbury 2008

It really is most surreal all round, this year - after years and years of the police trying to stop you going into Glastonbury town centre after the festival, and 2 years of doing their damnedest to stop you going beforehand, Michael Eavis is entreating
people to spend time there, and the abbey is offering 2 for 1 admission to festival goers :D

£70,000,000, that what that's about.

Finally, We Have A Logo

and we're playing between 12 noon and 2pm in the Pussy Parlure (Dance Village) on the Sunday... come and get some quality gospel, soul, jazz, blues, country, rockabilly and R&B... (and keep out of the rain!!)

There are going to be some other slots - including one up at Slippery Dick's Bar by the railway line in the new Shangri La area - we just don't know when they are yet..

yes at 8am.

I'm not worried as we're not waiting for public tix so there's always a way around it. but its annoying.

I'm off and away and offline NOW.

Some of you have my number already, I've texted it to one or two others.

We'll be onsite from lunchtime/early afternoon Tuesday.

Working Wednesday evening, 8 pm to midnuight, Ford Information opposite Leftfield (come and say hello!), so no Cider Bus meet for us then. Maybe at midnight!! :p

We will be at the Cider Bus 5ish to 7:30ish on THURSDAY (26th), then at the ska shenanigans at Leftfield later that evening.

Have a wicked time everyone, and weather isn't looking TOO disastrous at this stage, some rain for later but nowhere last years amounts as things stand right now. Some dry and sun hoped for too, and not too cold. Watch Countryfile tomorrow, 11 am to midday, week's detailed weather forecast about 11:40 I think.

I'm out of the door and gone, all packed up anmd heding west, to Deb in Wales intitially then the madness and craziness from Tuesday

Loves ya all!!!!

:p

GlastoEarth is back now. H4C's 3D wizardry is available in 'Bonus Features'. Unless you're using a 2007 version, you should just be able to open Google Earth, and it will simply 'be' the latest version.

Cider bus is there... Next year, hey, we might have some urbs there too. :)

I'd love to try this out, but on the site it says:

"The bandwidth or page view limit for this site has been exceeded..."

If someone could possibly e-mail me the file, I would be very grateful! If it's not too big that is. :)

Edit: Downloaded it now, so all's cool. :)

I'm off and away and offline NOW. <snip>

it's a bit late now I know but enjoy! If you see a hobbling blond girl stop me & say hello (I will be glad of the rest!). If you have a vehicle offer me a lift!!! LOL
:p

Today I have invested in more waterproof kit (to make even more sure it won't rain...) and tomorrow I will be packing. :)

Ive decided to go and grab some ponchos to make sure the kids are doubly covered. We all have waterproof jackets etc but if it pisses down dry kids are happier kids.:)

Oh for sure! I have some ponchos - 4 now, 3 from Tescos & the additional (giant sized, I have to say!) from Argos today. I invested in a stove today as well, I've finished thinking about how much Download cost me last weekend & decided it was working out to be more than I had  so now Im going to cook. A little bit, anyway. And make my own tea which is uber:cool:

So 2 trips to the car for me then, which is fine cos now I have to go back to the car I can bring some booze instead of buying it all onsite (which formed a part of the original 'one trip from the car on wednesdsay, one trip back on Monday won't be able to carry it all' plan) :)

Anyway, my point is, let me know if you need spares. Remember they're for big-sized people though! :p

I was given a poncho by the head of security on site at glade last year and he said it had something special on the back.

but its sealed in a little packet and I dont want to open it because it will just be in the way. but god knows what it says. It could be anything. I'm sure I'll forget and give it to someone. or wear it an an inappropriate moment.

Cooo, you can tell you're a mum! I was sort of thinking of tea on demand with minimal movement, and breakfast. My 'plans' (such as they are) get a bit hazy after that. Must remember to bring a pan........... and some cutlery. And a plate. And a mug of some description. Pasta, as well. Pasta is good. It doesn't go off.
Not just the sodding stove is it, with a stove comes a whole new rucksuck chock full of 'essentials'....... :D

I have to admit, now I'm getting ready to pack, I'm beginning to look forward to it. :)

You need a plastic box with a lid to keep it all in and a trolley of some description so Im told... ( thanks to the e festivals Gang!)

OOH I must remember to steal some foil survival blankets from work tomorrow or I wont get the chance ;)

We've got a trolley. We need it because out tent is really heavy and we've got 60 cans of beer, a box of red wine, spirits and mixers to take too.
