Oh yes, its now getting pretty accurate for the week and this is what the met office says.

UK Outlook for Friday 27 Jun 2008 to Sunday 6 Jul 2008:

Friday and the weekend will be generally fine and warm in the south and east, with some sunny spells. However, occasional rain or showers are also possible. The north of west is expected to be more unsettled and breezy at times, with occasional showers or longer outbreaks of rain. Some dry and brighter interludes are also expected, with temperatures near or below average. West to northwesterly winds are expected to continue through the week which will give more unsettled weather in the north and west. Further showers or longer spells of rain are expected with it also being quite breezy at times. The more sheltered south and east should be drier and brighter with temperatures a little above average.

Its looking very much like its going to be the 1st one for some time that is mainly dry, warm and possibly even some sun.

thats not the 'run up' thats the majority of my week on site!

the only weather forecast i can understand comes in the shape of simple pleasing easy-to-understand graphics, not that metereological usenet babble.

the bbc's forecast has improved again, although thursday has gone from being sunny to just sunny intervals. wednesdays light showers seem to have vanished.

i never knew checking the weather had an addictive quality...

they had coppers with helmetcam's at glade last year which I think did more for police punter relations than anything else cos everyone was asking about them.

Can't see the horse cams being much use. Struggling to think - in terms of the types of crime that happen at a festival - where a mounted officer would need corroborating evidence. The horse lot won't be catching tent theives will they?

Maybe they need it for munted police.

I'm sat outside Decathlon at Canada Water. The Sunday before the festival, half the customers are looking quite a bit less sporty than usual.

One Glastonbury I took something like 10 hats. I had way overpacked so my housemate tried to make me streamline by unpacking everything and explaining exactly why I need so many hats and a different t-shirt every other hour I was there

Am a bit jealous of people going now, I have to admit. I hope you all have an aces time though!
