True about the extra tickets - but it's always on for 6 days: gates open on the wednesday morning and you can stay until the following monday.

NOTHING is more important than getting there as soon after gates-open time as possible, surely
some people do have priorities, william - kids and that - and don't arrange their entire lives around Glastonbury.

Question for Tort
I'm working for WBC so will probably go down on the tuesday night but don't want to camp with crew as (hopefully) magic sam and mr and madamv will be coming also on wednesday and thursday.
Will I be able to camp in main camping areas from tuesday night?

Wiskey, always crewing, has camped in advance up in the field us mere punters try our best to get to early enough. She always gets on site early

Seriously though, if I practise first then it should be fine.
I was thinking change of clothes, bottle of vodka, 2 tents and my sleeping bag, i can manage that. Then we'll get our pick of camping spots.Boys come down wednesday with rest of stuff and you come down on thursday. Sorted.

It's actually a bit odd, trying to imagine what it'll be like when the people arrive, and trying to figure where the best spot really is. Usually they mow the grass a few days before the festival, so early birds get the choicest hay for under the tent comfort

The realisation that I'm going to miss my son terribly is kicking in... I could always bring him, of course, but that would make a completely different Glasto altogether. And it would be bloody hard work.
I'm now thinking about doing the Glade instead (if it's on) because at least I will have some satisfactory childcare on London and it's less work all round. There are also a couple of small electronic music festies that are looking very appealling – Wrong Music and Avant Garden
Glasto is great but it doesn't have to be the be-all-and-end-all of summer. Also, I'd like to try something new this year.
Hope I don't regret all this on Sunday afternoon when the tickets run out
