Shit thats harsh :( ((((moose))))

But a machine swallowed my debit card the Tuesday just before Xmas, and I got a replacement by the weekend, so I'd have thought you'll have enough time. 8 posting days from tomorrow (Friday 23rd) til next Saturday (31st) -- with a modest amount of luck, you'll be fine ...

Actually it's a good job they cancelled it because the fuckers got away with £3k of goods and services yesterday, but I'm still anxious about getting a new one.

Shit, are you going to get that back?

Yes. Luckily the bank spotted strange transactions, all carried out yesterday, and phoned me to check. Some were for 1p  and a couple of big ones. Big up the Co-op, for once.

(((((Moose))))

Hope you get it sorted, mate!

I keep getting ticket panic, especially as they extended the registration by a week and the number shot up from 250,000 to 400,000!

That gives us a 1 in 4 instead of 1 in 2 chance.

I have space for two more tickets on my card :)

Hello Riff :)

Noted your tagline :(

But - do you really believe in a whole month, 250K folk registered and then in just a week, 60% of that also reg'd? Aside of the folk registering at the end just to see what the numbers were at  don't you think it just a leeeeeedle bit much (or saving face ploy after all the "millions of unique hits - blah blah" ;)

I hope I'm not being complacent, but I'm actually pretty confident about that at the moment.

So many will surely be duplicate or speculative/not sure registrations. If we get up shinily prompt on April 1st**, and have typing fingers, PC and phones all fired up and ready, wirh strong coffee, I reckon the vast majority of us hardcore determined types will make it :)

**Yes yes, a Sunday morning ...

After all, the actual transaction will surely be swifter what with us inputting just a registration number rather than a whole lot of name/address details as in 2005. Once you're through with that, I'd have thought the card bit will be almost equally quick ...

And maybe some handy techie type somewhere will once again be able to send us direct links to exact registration pages ... ;)

Right there with you on all that (especially the Sunday morning bit) :D

You'll have to enter your surname as well! Plus your card details of course. The original plan was Reg number & post code but so many people fucked up the post code bit they had to go for surname instead.

Moose => another offer of a spare debit card here if you don't get sorted.

s**t, Ive just realised I'm not going to be at a pc until sunday evening.

Is there anyone who can book me a ticket?, I'll thank you with beer(or cider)

Not saying yet whether in elated celebration or in self-commiseratory despair

It's all or nothing :(

But then again I may just be looking like this >>> :) :D  :p

Thanks to all my mates for the debit card offer - you're great!
My new one showed up today, so I should be OK now, ta. :)

A just met a woman at work who went to Glastonbury in 1972..

Interestin' ..

As Riff indicates, this would have been 1971 ...

Here is a pretty fine slideshow of 150 pix from 1971, the hippiest Glastonbury of all ... (click 'Glastonbury Festival 1971' on his homepage.)

His commentary is irritating, but the pix are pretty good ....

Hollis's colleague, 1971 ... :p

I've just been rereading the camping porn thread in suburban, and looking at more of it on milletts and outdoor world. I want loads of stuff, but can't afford it, so might just compromise and borrow the tent/sleeping bags, but buy a self inflating mat, and small stove, and new boots, anorak, lantern, rucksack....:D

buy as much as you can, you know you'll be hooked on camping and festivals afterwards :D

Actually, I've not bought a tent yet but I will soon
