2005 Fine Guide Map now online

CLICKY

A few things I've noticed at first glance:-

The new Dance area looks cool & well spaced out so you don't get too much overlapping of sound systems.

The John Peel Tent looks as though it's staying put.

The Crown has moved.

Avalon has changed again.

Cheers for this Tort, but that map is quite hard to read being so small.

How has Avalon changed, do you mean the main Avalon stage has swung round in direction? (Thats what it looks like)

And where has the Crown monstrosity moved to?

To Shepton Mallett, with any luck ... :D  ;)

It's low definition because it's the one that prints out at about 2 inches high on your Fine Guide but it's the only one available online so far. re Avalon yeah it looks like the backstage area is now at the top of the field so presumbly the stage will be facing in a more north-easterly direction this year (i.e. how it used to be a few years ago). & it looks like the Crown will be in the Other Stage Field this year. No great loss to Jazzworld eh! ;)

Cam, I'll get onto the ethics/non-ethics of corporatism  another time , but in answer to a point you made :

I get the feeling that the WAP link will only be accessible to Orange customers. Not to anyone with other phones.

True, but you can get a Sim for £2.99, so long as you have a WAP-able phone already. :)

This is probably in the thread somewhere, but what date is this actually being held on, its gone right out of my head and I can't find it anywhere

The Crown was like some feckin awful town centre student mega pub last year - went in there once, bought a drink, left, never went back. :(
Why on earth they felt Glasto needs somewhere like that is beyond me.
In my day...half of mild, pork scratchings, Vera Lynn, whippets...

Sir, I salute your bravery and honesty ;) in being able to admit to such stunning incompetence ... :D :p

Fan bloody tastic, I hardly ever go to Other Stage anyway :)

Lets hope the old (proper) beer tent is reinstated in JazzWorld ...

Still not 100% sure whether I'm going or not

I was a bit rude above, sorry (couldn't resist though :D )

Are you thinking you may be working/crewing/volunteering or whatever??

Cos if you've not secured a ticket by now, you may have problems ... :(

Glasto 2005 U75 email list

Send an email, with the subject "glasto list" to:

glastonbury.urbanites at virgin.net

but making the obvious change to "at" (just done that to stop bloody spambots)

Please include in the body of the message your boardname, and, if you want others to know it for meetup purposes, your mobile number.

I have very belatedly responded to this

I sent my identity and number as requested, but also check the text of the email as well ;)

Have you a contact name and number, if so it might be as well to ask (I haven't any idea how long they take to settle recruitment).

They may give you a negative answer :( but just might give you a positive one :)

Either way, better than sweating in a state of unknowingness ....

I have now been trained as an Oxfam steward and know what to do should any of you lot pass out or catch fire.

Don't you all feel so much safer now? :)
