thanks for the reassurance - still quite annoying not to be able to make other plans in case it doesnt happen. their website is spectacularly unhelpful and hasnt been updated in ages. considering they must have had alot of applications to green police, you'd think they'd put up contact info or a site area specific to it. felt like a bit of an eejit emailing the Training manager and Volunteers Coordinator for the whole organisation, about greenpolicing! but i need to know cos theres G8 bike caravan stuff i want to get involved in if glasto's out.

I'll be sending out a mailing to all those on the mailing list in the next couple of days (no great news) - will include a request for anyone else who applied to green police to let us know if they've heard anything yet and report back.

Aaargh! Just stop it! There's nothing you can do about it and it doesn't matter anyway!

Sorry, I'm being lazy, but I really don't want to trail thro the whole thread ...

My lot are trying to organise a board meet & obviously don't want it to clash with any others so folk on various can make it to all. I'm assuming your collective homage to Cider Bus on Wed evening still stands???

hi i just had an email from a Howard saying i didnt get a place to green police - but i emailed them first to ask so i dont think that means theyve sent out notifications generally - unless you were successful?? i am mightily disappointed, i must say :( .

Above average temperatures & above average rainfall = THUNDERSTORMS!!! woohoo

Thunderstorms, bugger off!! All mud is bad ... no compromise ....

No detail yet anyway, that was a general overview for June, not time or region specific ...

It's because you are right about the first bit that I am so bothered about you being wrong on the second ...

Chill William.

It's out of our hands and the powers that be know that we deserve a scorcher.

Do we have all faiths covered?

Not for definite certain (YET) on EFestivals that Kylie's Glasto show has been cancelled ...

efestivals news page said:
The BBC have reported that Kylie is suffering from breast cancer, and she's cancelled her upcoming 20 dates in Austrailia, from 19th May until 14th June.

Kylie said in a statement "Hopefully all will work out fine and I'll be back with you all again soon".

Her tour company said ""She will undergo immediate treatment and consequently her Australian tour will not be able to proceed as planned."

No comment has been made about her headline slot at Glastonbury Festival on Sunday 26th June. However, it's quite possible that it won't now go ahead.

eFestivals wishes Kylie well, and looks forward to seeing her back in action soon.

That reference to her Australian tour having originally been scheduled to the 14th June, makes it pretty unlikely that she'll be back at Glasto only 13 days later, though ...

apparently once it was SUNNY!! ;)

Surely not ... :D :p :(

Why don't they rejig the bill a bit and get Rolf Harris (a completely diffeent Australian) on for one of the Sunday afternoon afternoon slots, then push someone else up the bill .... not sure who yet but I'm sure we can all get a wish list together.
