As far as the balls are concerned, pink balls lead to short matches. So, no. Let's just go with either the Dukes or Kookaburra everywhere, or find a happy medium (not a pink one). This of course would fuck Jimmy's average as he can't take wickets anywhere but England, but still.
Anyway the use of different balls is a good thing, its one of the things that makes Test cricket such a great sport. One of those challenges that players have to deal with and with demonstrated the different between good and great players. (Frankly I'd be happy to see both 6 and 8 ball overs used in different counties)
