England Cricket 2021

This game was won at the coin toss.

Unlike the first test then.

I think that does a massive disservice to Rohit who batted brilliantly. That's what has won India the game.

And I don't think we'd have moaned much if we won the toss. I also don't think we'd have scored 300.

This is why series in India can be a bit shit. The pitches are such a joke that the coin toss becomes too important.

I think it is credit to England that India felt the need to prepare a minefield like this one, assuming it wasn't a mistake. It's a bit of a gamble from India to do so cos it could have backfired, even with the biased third ump as backup.

India haven't lost a series at home since England won nine years ago. It's not just about the toss.

And it's not like this never happens in England. Last time India were there the lords test was won at the toss.

Not just the toss, of course. There's also the issue of pitches (in every country) favoring the home side. They should be required to prepare pitches that don't crumble inside three days!

I'm fucked off with this biased/incompetent third ump stuff now. It's not why India are winning, and really are they not better than that? Sorry thing to see.

The only wrong decision this morning was the LBW not given when the ball pitched outside off stump, on the basis that he played a shot, when he clearly didn;t. But, surely, that's the on field umpire's call, even in a referral situation?

I lost count how many times Foakes described the wicket as difficult, either to bat or keep on. Inadvertently perhaps bigging himself up, but he's right.

India bowled much better than England. Less full tosses, made them play more. Plus Rohit, is why they are winning.

But. Anil Chaudary. Just having a spectacularly bad game or...cheating? Not India. Just him. It looks extremely dodgy from my armchair. And unnecessary. India are so far ahead now England would probably lose if India declared now. So there's no need, at all, not to give Rohit out there. Virtually inexplicable without referring to possible 'influences' from outside. The game doesn't need it, and he needs removing from any further part in the series.

England have now been robbed of three wickets due to biased umpiring. Cheating, basically.

And as geli says, totally unnecessary. Forget about the toss, India have outplayed England here. It's very sad to see if it's just because India lost the first test when they were outplayed by England. Leaves a very bitter taste.

Well played Ashwin. Fucker of a time to remember that you can bat.

Chasing 300-320, maybe England stood a tiny chance. Chasing 450, zero chance.

So you're saying there's a chance :hmm:

Rory Burns and Dom Sibley 200+ opening partnership. I can feel it in my waters.
