Al Qaeda a myth says Russian

I remember my early days here on Urban and I remember saying to you that I was going to see my MP about bringing the troops home. On that occasion, you said "let me know how you got on". I did, but you practically ignored me.

I get the feeling that it's all ego with you fela:

Ahh, so that's what it's all about is it mate? My, you have a long memory. And an ego that got pissed by being 'practically ignored'. And then you have the cheek to talk about what you perceive to be my ego.

Yours clearly is out of control.

Before you start chucking around insults and half-baked analyses, you should look to yourself.

I only chuck insults at those that deserve it. You very much do deserve it.

You tell me to look at myself. Well, why don't you do the fucking same, bloody patronising arrogant git. You've got a huge bee in your bonnet on these boards, insulting loads of posters. As has been seen on this thread.

I glad to see, fela, that there are things we can agree on. :)

Propaganda from the Times links "al-Qaeda" to "Zarqawi" to "iraqi insurgents"

The terrorist group led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, America’s most wanted man in Iraq, has joined forces with other Iraqi insurgents to carry out “spectacular” attacks, a rebel commander claimed last week.

Take a look at this piece taken from the Times UK online, and ask yourself who this 'rebel commander' is. Is it just a coincidence that he is saying exactly the same thing as the "US officials"?

Oh, and you are entirely innocent? I think not fela. You are probably one of the most insincere people I have ever had the misfortune to come across. You, my friend, are the patronising and arrogant one - as you have shown many times. So before you assume the moral high ground I would look closer to home.

Who appointed you town marshall btw?

More egotistical rantings? What a surprise.

Of course we can mate. It's never beyond the realms of possiblity...

Laugh all the way to the bank. You don't know a wind up when it smacks you in the face.

Me, town marshall? Never, far too much work. Too much life to enjoy to get into any of them positions. I don't assume moral high ground mate, the likes of you just put me there. Fine by me, do whatever you want to.

When lies become truth...

Sir Ian Blair, the Metropolitan Police Commissioner says "There’s real clarity now that al-Qaeda affiliates are targeting Britain" and is calling for new anti-terror laws following the bogus ricin plot. He says ID cards and iris recognition technology will allow terrorist suspects to be tracked and preempt terrorist conspiracies, kind of like Minority Report? Yum... love that technology.
Blair described the way that al-Qaeda operates as "very loose-knit conspiracies" which made the terror network difficult to tackle under current British laws. He said: "The way English law has developed is that it doesn’t like conspiracies. It likes actual offences. Where one person does something and another person does another thing, it’s only when they add up that they become a conspiracy.

"I think we’re going to have to just look again to see whether there is some other legislation around acts preparatory to terrorism - or something of that nature. That’s what we’ll have to do." Asked if he would like to see an ID cards bill reintroduced after the election, Blair said: "I think there has to be further consideration of that.

"I wasn’t particularly keen on ID cards until recently, until I began to understand the way in which identity theft is carried out, and the fact that what you and I and many of us would recognise as forgery just doesn’t exist any more.

"There are no more printing presses in basements. The documents that are being produced are identical to the real documents - they’re just unauthorised.

"So we have to go to a place where we do know who people are. We now have the technology, I think through iris recognition, to go to that, and I think that would be very helpful.

"One of the things about some of the Belmarsh detainees, and indeed Bourgass, is that we do not know who he is. At one stage or other we’ve got to start with a position where we do know who people are."
Why wait till after the election to introduce the new anti-terror measures unless ... its a vote loser? Reading this article you would think that there had been a real terror plot to spread real ricin on car door handles in the UK. Bourgass is described here as being part of a terrorist group whose members spread across Europe and America.

You really ought to read some of the things your type, fela, because - without meaning to - you've provided me with quite a few laughs here.

You are not only a self-obsessed egotist, you're two-faced as well. The editor is right about you in all respects. It's funny how you never post any links (they are a "waste of time", we know) or offer much in the way of analysis, yet you are quick to point the accusing finger at others.I'll bet you wouldn't dare suggest that all Americans are responsible for Bush or that all Americans are guilty of their country's crimes but you gladly accuse all Britons of complicity in Blair's actions - why is that, fela?

As for L&L, you've found a friend there. He's just like a character from Viz...Lock&Light (never wrong and always right). I hope you will be happy together.

Fela and I have, while differing widely, been happy together for ages.

Personally, my impression is that Fela speaks from the heart and has consistently pointed out the moral hypocirisy and less than sound values held by bushbots on urban. I also appreciate it when Nino does the same. I don't like to see you two tear each other apart like this especially when there are so many other fish waiting to be fried! I hope you can put your disagreements aside and get back on topic. Pretty please... :)

It was only when I pointed out to him that he was giving comfort to the Bushbots that I did what I did and he reacted rather badly to it; that and the fact that he applied blanket blame to everyone in this country by declaring that we all were "responsible" for Blair, that sort of analysis-free comment provides idiots like mears with plenty of ammo....and fela can't see it.

Who are the "bushbots" on urban, please? Could you list them all?

Thanks for the words raisin!

But as for nino, he's lucky i spend any time at all over him. His world views are often sound, but he's not a character that is particularly nice, and i simply called him over it.

And maybe you know by now that no-one can tear me apart... ;)

I'd always spend time with those whose views i disagree with, yet remain polite, over and above those that get personal. So, i think i'll take your advice and not bother engaging with the man any more. I do hope that nino is not too disappointed to hear this tragic news...

No, you think i can't see it mate. I know what i said, and i stand by it, but you have misrepresented it here.

Be polite and i'll continue to engage with you, carry on with your personal stuff that is often just plain wrong anyway, and i'll get outta your hair.
