2021 Local elections

that's their third gain*, two for their yellow tory allies too. Looks like Labour will lose control (no sadness about useless Bob going) but it'll be a knife edge whether the other two can make a majority

*and they've just got a fourth

Yep, lost control.

Sheffield:

Lab: 41 -8
LD: 29 +3
Grn: 13 +5
Tory: 1 +1
Ukip: 0 -1

(29 seats contested)

Tories have gained Harlow and Nuneaton & Bedworth. Seven gains from Labour in Harlow

Labour really were crushed in Nuneaton & Bedworth.

I refused to vote for anyone in these elections due to piss poor pandemic performance, and now I see that the (until now) Labour leader of the council lost her seat, which is my ward, by 4 votes!

Previous number of councillors here:
Labour 17
Tories 16
Green 1

Now:
Labour 7
Tories 24
Independent 2
Green 1

Of the two of twenty two wards results confirmed in Doncaster. Three out of the four councillors elected are Tories.

Do these people not realise that the LP is changing?

I agree. Corbyn should have removed the arseholes and the wreckers, assuming that were possible given the party machinery itself hated him (a bit like how Windows 10 hates me).

Labour will never reconcile with itself. The left correctly identifies that Starmer is not going to connect with anyone and the Starmer crowd blame Corbyn. It's sad to see. Maybe if TUSC wakes up and stops supporting crank Chris Williamson they might get somewhere. Otherwise be an anarchist, I suppose.
But when you were an anarchist you berated them for not voting labour. At great length.

Labour retaining their comfortable majority in Exeter, but have lost one seat to the Greens and been pushed close (very close in one) by them and the Tories in a couple of others.

Our Labour bloke in solidly working class St Thomas had no such worries and got in comfortably, though. Probably a lot of that personal vote, I reckon.

At the other end of the scale, Labour won comfortably in Pennsylvania, which is student and posho land, where they're usually pushed close by the Tories. That was gained by Zion Lights, who apparently is Somebody, so that may have helped.

Prenton has just gone the same way, same massive swings. We might have to change the colour of our away strip for next season.
The Mem is in Horfield (Lab/Tory marginal, one each last time) but almost in Bishopston & Ashley Down, another split ward which I expect to go fully Green this time

Will be interesting to see how Exeter Labour manage having the former XR spokesperson and Green Party member as their representative and her getting a higher vote than virtually any of their sitting councillors. The Green gain was where the previous Labour Cllr had been struck off for 6 months AWOL

Seems to be a bit of a LibScum surge in Glos and had this one for the CC:

Greens GAIN Tewkesbury from the Conservatives.

Cate Cody wins the seat.

Results:
Kevin John Cromwell (CON) 1444
Cate Cody (GRN) 1781
Simon Terence James O'Rourke (LAB) 219

Whereabouts? I know they win loads of seats in Cheltenham.

Never had Tewkesbury down as anything other than Tory central, what was the swing?

Not sure, didn't do anything in depth just had a gander at the Glos Live page, think there was a Lib Dem gain in Bishop's Cleeve and they seemed to be holding all the others mentioned.
