Depends on the bundle recount, but 3000 is the lead that Street needs to overturn. So I expect we’ll hear less about Yakoob than we would have otherwise.

And a full recount in Coventry now, so West Mids result won’t be for a couple of hours. Possibly Street is asking for this just so there is less time for the Sunday papers to ring round angry MPs and get “Sunak is a bit crap” quotes.

the tory nonentity has won the pointless police commissioner election in thames valley (berkshire, buckinghamshire, oxfordshire) but with a significant swing to labour compared to last time round.

Is he still in a job John Curtice? last two election nights I stayed up for he spectacularly got totally wrong right up to about 2 am (which is several hours of chatting on TV). Brexit and Trump I think they were, might've been 2017 UK though. Huffed and puffed with overconfidence then went very quiet

I don't remember Trump but on the EU referendum he was saying Remain was in trouble from the first results.
