that's why it's pisspoorI am guessing they mean foreign policy.
He wouldn't be able to come here if he got his passport.... There is no way to come here legally. It's scandalous but seems to be acceptedI've a friend in Iraqi Kurdistan who is a Syrian Kurd, he wants to come here but he can't get his passport as it is too unsafe to go back to Syria. He thinks if I just invite him to come, the government will allow him as he is trustworthy and hardworking. I keep trying to explain that it doesn't work like that! He doesn't want to come here illegally.
Russia still uses it.completely off-topic, but how many major armies have their service rifle chambered to 7.62 nowadays? I can't think of any
not as their main service rifle - 5.45
Just was wondering why the Turkish military appears to have ignored pretty much worldwide military consensus
what about slovakia?Lots of countries still use 7.62 - Finland, Hungary & Czeh Rep to name three in Europe.
what about slovakia?
A former air force commander has denied being a ringleader of Friday's attempted military coup in Turkey.
Gen Akin Ozturk and 26 senior officers were charged with treason and remanded in custody by a court on Monday, the state-run Anadolu news agency said.
But in a statement to prosecutors, the general insisted: "I am not the person who planned or led the coup."
Anadolu had earlier quoted him as telling interrogators that he had "acted with intention to stage a coup".
Wasn't the last hanging in the Six Counties a bit later than that? Going off dim recall of a fictional version of the case.

This "coup" is an 'unexpected 'godsend'Daft - Erdogan has had an ever-expanding list for the last decade. Of course someone who has been trying to remove these people through legal or constitutional means since being in power is going to have a list drawn up.
Aye, you wouldn't be far wrong in doing that, used to think that Turkey was an example of Islam emerging from it's very own 'dark ages'The more I read the more I fancy changing the title of this thread to 'A very Convenient Coup' .
Interesting picture that kind of adds weight to "stitch-up" theories. The rifles are a HK G3 variant built under licence, but replaced by the MPT-76 and supposedly taken out of anything but reserve and civil defence service. While I'm familiar with the idea of giving conscripts shitty kit, if you've already been issuing your new rifle to active units - including conscripts - for 3 years, why would so many old weapons be in evidence?
Not enough, this idea of letting the opposition get that close you can decimate them while exchanging opposing personal political views isn't what real warfare is all aboutcompletely off-topic, but how many major armies have their service rifle chambered to 7.62 nowadays? I can't think of any
i wouldn't like to bet my liberty on being allowed to leave the country on the basis of being a foreigner.Yes I saw that yesterday but surely it only applies to Turkish nationals? They can hardly tell foreigners they can't leave surely? Best stay in Hong Kong I think you think right.
